Sienna Sterling and Natalie Quincy arrived a short while later.

Their entrance immediately drew the room's attention.

Sienna took off her sunglasses as she stepped inside, while Natalie clung to her arm, playing the role of the perfectly obedient and affectionate daughter.

"This one, and that one," Sienna instructed, pointing to two paintings. Staff members immediately rushed over to take the artwork down.

It was a clear statement that the pieces had been purchased by Sienna and were no longer for display.

After the purchase, Silas Xavier and his family came over to greet her.

"Ms. Sterling, it's been a while," Madeline Xavier said.

Sienna nodded. "It has."

The two women exchanged an elegant, practiced hug.

The moment Natalie spotted Sylvia Xavier, she asked excitedly, "Sylvia, why didn't Killian come with you?"

"He had some company matters to handle," Sylvia replied smoothly. "It was supposed to be my responsibility, but since it's my stepfather's exhibition today, I wanted to be here to support him. Killian was considerate enough to take care of work for me."

"Oh, my. So Killian is working overtime just for you. You really shouldn't be so demanding next time," Madeline chided, though her tone was thick with pride.

"It's fine, Madeline!" Natalie teased. "Killian wants to do it. Forget working overtime—he'd do absolutely anything for Sylvia."

"Stop it, Natalie. Don't be ridiculous," Sylvia murmured, her cheeks flushing a delicate pink.

The parents of both families couldn't help but smile.

To an outsider, it looked exactly like the picture-perfect romance completely endorsed by both families.

Unfortunately, they all seemed to have conveniently forgotten that Killian was a married man.

Jillian Jarrett stood in the shadows, a self-deprecating smirk touching her lips.

"I've said it before," Madeline offered. "If the kids are willing, we should make things official as soon as possible."

Sienna looked slightly conflicted.

"I've adored Sylvia since she was a little girl. I certainly wouldn't oppose them being together, but you know Killian's situation. It's not something that can be resolved overnight. It all depends on what Eleanor thinks."

"I understand. In that case, we'll take our time. Good things come to those who wait," Madeline said with a soft sigh.

Smiling, Sienna pulled Sylvia to her side, her gaze warm as she looked the younger woman up and down.

"You've grown up so fast, Sylvia. Whenever I saw you as a child, I always wished I had a daughter just like you."

Sylvia quickly replied, "Sienna, if you keep saying that, Natalie is going to get upset."

Connor was currently being fussed over by Sienna and the others, so he didn't need Jillian's immediate supervision.

Jillian turned away and began wandering through the exhibition hall.

In a secluded, empty corner, Gibson suddenly stepped into her path.

"We need to talk," he said.

Jillian shook her head, her expression frosty. "There's no need."

"I didn't know about your relationship with Killian before. You should have told me."

As soon as the words left his mouth, he realized how wrong they sounded.

What was his relationship with Jillian, really? They were nothing more than doctor and patient.

Why on earth would Jillian owe him details about her private life?

He quickly corrected himself. "I'm sorry. That was out of line."

Jillian gave a curt nod, accepting his apology.

"So, you changed doctors because of my sister?" Gibson asked.
