“Next, we’ll grow our vet team into something amazing, open up our very own pet hospital, and set up a research lab. And someday, our zoo will be a nationally recognized ‘Furry Collaboration Center”.”

The more Nina talked, the more worked up she got, like she could already see that glorious future ahead. She couldn’t help but giggle goofily.

Tabby King was getting squished half to death in her hug, and she kept staring at him with that goofy, fangirl grin. Unable to bear it anymore, he finally raised his super-soft paw and landed a light smack right on Nina’s face.

She got more and more worked up as she spoke, her eyes shining like stars. “The place is going to be packed. Everybody will be there!

When Tabby King heard “open day” and “lots of people,” his ears gave a tiny twitch, and those golden eyes of his sparkled for a moment. He whipped his head to the side, pretending he couldn’t care less and wanted nothing to do with it.

“Hmph, it’s just a little medal. And now you humans have to throw this whole ceremony. You just love making a fuss and putting on these ridiculous show-off events,” he muttered with barely hidden disdain.

He kept up his act, but the tip of his tail just couldn’t resist curling up and waving, totally betraying how thrilled he actually was.

“I don’t want to get a prize in front of a whole bunch of humans,” he grumbled, all huffy and proud.

He paused for a moment, then cocked his head, his cat eyes full of innocent curiosity. “But… What is this “zoo open day” you keep mentioning?”

The next instant, his eyes went round as saucers, like he’d just thought of something huge, and his tail perked straight up in excitement.

“Are you telling me you’ll let all the animals loose, and we’ll go parading down the street together?” Tabby King blurted, practically buzzing with excitement.

Nina burst out laughing at his wild imagination and quickly waved her hands. “Of course not! If we really let them loose, I’d be terrified they’d get hit by a car!”

She patiently broke it down for him, “All our little critters in the zoo are bouncing with energy. They’re cuter than ever! So we picked a few special days for visitors to come see them up close.

“We want everyone to see just how lively and healthy they all are. And I’m really hype up about our zoo’s making a big comeback!

“Plus, we’re calling in some celebrity guests to make sure the place is absolutely packed!”

Tabby King cocked his head, eyes bright with curiosity. “Which celebs are coming, anyway?”

Nina’s eyes lit up, and she showed off her phone like she was revealing a treasure. The screen was bursting with a photo of her and the National Swim Team. “It’s the National Swim Team.

“I’ve already hooked it up with their team! They crushed it at the World Aquatics Championships and got the best results ever! Seriously, everyone’s obsessed with them now!
