**TITLE: Dreams Rise Again by Braxton 74**
**CONTENT: Chapter 74**
In a flash, Alex sprang into action, his body a blur as he lunged forward with a fierce determination. His right hand transformed into a claw, poised to grip the Alpaca by its neck, ready to put an end to this absurd pursuit.
But before he could make contact, a shrill, piercing cry from a bird sliced through the air like a knife. Suddenly, three dark figures burst through the window, moving at such incredible speed that they left behind ghostly afterimages in their wake.
In an instant, three Peregrine Falcons descended upon him, landing with precision atop his head and shoulders. They perched there like three vigilant guardians, their presence commanding and undeniably powerful. Known as one of the fastest birds on the planet, these medium-sized raptors were not to be trifled with.
The sharp tips of their beaks hovered perilously close to Alex’s eyes, so near that he could feel the heat emanating from their fierce, determined breaths. In that moment, his muscles tensed, and he felt as though time itself had paused. The weight of the situation pressed down on him, making it difficult to breathe.
Peregrine Falcons were not just any birds; they were protected under national law. If Alex so much as ruffled a single feather on one of these esteemed raptors, he could face five years behind bars. And here he was, with three of them perched ominously around him.
As a professor specializing in criminal investigations, Alex had encountered countless lawbreakers over the years. Yet, this was the first time he found himself up against literal outlaws—ones that could soar through the skies. He felt utterly helpless, trapped in a situation where he could do nothing.
Stiff as a statue, Alex stood frozen, forced to watch as the Alpaca strutted away, flanked by its motley crew of animal companions, executing their escape right under his nose.
The Alpaca glanced back over its shoulder, its eyes glinting with a daring challenge, as if it were saying, “Go on, give it your best shot. Try and catch me if you can.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Crow had been meticulously crafting their escape plan for days, plotting every detail like a mastermind preparing for an elaborate heist.
The little Alpaca led the charge, herding the animal crew down the fire escape stairs with remarkable stealth, slipping out of the office building without raising a single alarm.
As the mice erupted into a chorus of squeaks, it was as if they were announcing their grand moment. Hidden within the fire escape, squads of clever little mice had already taken their positions, all orchestrated by Nina’s careful planning.
These well-trained mice scurried about, serving as enthusiastic tour guides for the animal crew. “This way! Watch out for the cameras!” they chattered, their tiny voices bubbling with mischief.
With a dramatic flourish of his tail, Boss Mouse gave the signal. The little Alpaca wasted no time, rallying its animal gang and charging forward into their epic jailbreak.
Strutting down the hallway with an air of confidence, the little Alpaca moved as if it had nothing to prove, each step echoing with a sense of pride and purpose.
The rabbits and foxes were practically vibrating with energy, bouncing about with excitement, while Cole the Duck flapped his stubby legs in a frenzy, moving so fast that one might think he had just downed a shot of rocket fuel.
Even the Capybara, typically slow and lumbering, was giving it all it had, though it was still only just managing to outpace a houseplant by a whisker.
To bolster their escape, Nina had sent a formidable King Cobra as backup. The snake coiled protectively around the Capybara, serving as its personal bodyguard. Without that extra muscle, the Capybara would have been easily caught and dragged back before it could even make it halfway.
Guided by their clever mouse tour guides, the little Alpaca and its entire animal entourage slipped past the building’s security as if they were mere phantoms, invisible to the untrained eye.
The security guards, a group of retired gentlemen, were no match for the speed and cunning of the little Alpaca’s crew. They didn’t stand a chance against this wild assortment of animals.
One by one, they darted out the side fire escape, racing towards the rendezvous point that Nina had meticulously mapped out for them.

Across the way at Innovate Plaza, the atmosphere buzzed with vibrant energy. Cuddle Critters Indoor Park was nestled right in a bustling area, making it a common sight to see SWAT officers stationed there regularly.
At that moment, two SWAT officers stood vigilant on duty, clad in sleek black tactical gear, weapons at the ready. They maintained a rigid posture, drawing the attention of every passerby.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted nearby, causing heads to turn all around the plaza. The crowd erupted into a flurry of excited chatter.
“No way! Am I really awake right now?”
“What in the world? Where did all these animals come from? Is this some kind of bizarre wildlife marathon?”
Claire’s live stream mishap had already gone viral across various platforms. A throng of passersby who had stumbled upon the stream were eagerly explaining the situation to the bewildered officers.
“Officer, those animals just escaped from Cuddle Critters Indoor Park on the fourth floor.”
“Cuddle Critters Indoor Park has a terrible reputation. They mistreat the animals and neglect their medical needs. Those poor creatures are truly suffering.”
In that moment, Little Alpaca plopped itself down right in front of the SWAT officers, gently allowing the Lop Bunnies to slide off its back and onto the ground.
Then, with an exaggerated groan, it flopped over onto its side, appearing as though it had just exerted every ounce of energy in a grand performance of total exhaustion.
After a frantic morning of escapades, Little Alpaca was utterly spent. The adrenaline rush had faded, leaving it huffing and puffing, clearly in need of a break.
Dane, in a state of sheer panic, feared that this adorable little creature might collapse right before his eyes. “Mr. Harris, what do we do? Should we call a doctor? If we need a vet, do we still dial 911?”
Rowe suddenly recalled, “Wait a minute. I think there’s a cop on loan from HQ, and his sister is a vet.”
Dane’s eyes widened in realization. “You mean Professor Summer’s sister, Claire?”
Rowe shook his head, dismissing the idea. “Come on, it’s not like we can just call Professor Summer’s sister for backup.”
Rowe checked in with his team, then began scrolling through his contacts with a sense of urgency. “I remember this guy, Simon Reed. He’s a solid dude. Just a couple of days ago, he helped us catch a thief like it was nothing.”
“This guy moves like he’s in an action movie. I tried to thank him for dinner once, but he insisted it was just something he did on the fly.”
After a few moments of searching, Rowe finally located Simon’s number and dialed without hesitation.
