The Fragrance Queen's Final Note novel Chapter 31

Zander glanced at his wife and immediately introduced her. "Oh, this is my wife, Queenie."

Boom.

Just as Miles had predicted, the moment he heard the word 'wife,' Stanley's mind exploded...

Although he didn't show a single flaw on the surface, Miles was probably the only one who could imagine the absolute shockwave tearing through him...

He had been a stone-cold bachelor for his entire life. And the very first time he finally showed interest in someone, she turned out to be from a rival family, and a married woman to boot.

Romeo and Juliet had nothing on this level of tragedy.

Miles nodded, offering forced praise. "You and your wife make a stunning couple, Mr. Calvert. You look very good together."

He didn't dare look at his boss's face, but he could palpably feel the icy aura radiating beside him.

Stanley stepped back from the crowd. He was restraining himself, fighting back the stormy rage surging in his chest.

In his twenty-nine years of life, this was the first time he had ever been played.

A married woman?

Heh.

How interesting.

His flawless reputation was almost entirely ruined by this woman!

Stanley's usually unshakeable emotions shattered in that instant.

His chest was filled with anger, like a landmine with its fuse pulled, ready to detonate at any second.

Standing by a window in the hotel, he irritably fished a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.

Just then, a clueless socialite trailed after him, putting on a shy expression as she struck a seductive pose and approached him. "Mr. Zimmer, hello, I'm..."

"Get lost!"

Before the woman could finish, he roared in unbridled fury.

Terrified, the woman turned pale and ran off.

His gaze fell on the vibrant city lights outside the window, the man's cold, aloof eyes seemingly out of focus.

Beneath his dark gaze, anger continued to boil.

A married woman actually dared to provoke him?

If word got out that Stanley Zimmer had slept with someone else's wife, he would become the biggest laughingstock in the world!

"I need to talk to you."

A woman's voice sounded from behind him again.

Stanley spun around in renewed fury. "Didn't I tell you to get l—"

His words caught in his throat halfway through.

His pupils suddenly contracted, his gaze locking intensely onto the woman in front of him.
