The Fragrance Queen's Final Note novel Chapter 46

“Your whole family's good luck must have been completely hoarded by you!”

Queenie let out a low, sarcastic chuckle.

She couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge him.

The car pulled up to the Imperial Lounge, and the group stepped out.

The driver popped the trunk and hauled out two exquisitely crafted gift boxes.

These were the introductory gifts Zander had prepared for 'Z'. One contained an authentic antique vase from the Song Dynasty.

The other held a priceless purple clay coffee set.

Both were incredibly heavy and worth a staggering fortune.

It was obvious Zander was pulling out all the stops to show his sincerity.

As the driver walked up to Zander, Zander suddenly reached out, grabbed both heavy boxes, and unceremoniously shoved them right into Queenie's arms.

Queenie caught them purely out of instinct.

Zander snapped dismissively, “You’ve been sleeping all day. It’s time you stretched your legs and did some actual work.”

And this precise scene unfolded right in front of Stanley, who had just stepped out of his own car.

Stanley happened to have a business dinner at the Imperial Lounge tonight. As he glanced over, his eyes locked onto Zander forcing two massive gift boxes into his wife’s arms.

His perception of reality took another violent hit.

Miles walked up beside him. “Mr. Zimmer, let’s head in.”

Noticing his boss’s gaze fixed on something, Miles followed the line of sight, and his face immediately began to twitch.

*Why are we running into them again?!*

“You walk in front.”

Stanley’s eyes glinted with a glacial chill, his stare fixed unblinkingly on Zander.

Miles sighed internally, perfectly understanding what his boss was plotting. Bracing himself, he stepped forward to play his part.

The two men strode toward Zander in tandem. Unsurprisingly, Zander spotted them almost immediately.

He instantly plastered on a beaming smile. “Mr. Zimmer, what a coincidence.”

Miles offered a stiff, practiced smile. “Mr. Calvert. Quite the coincidence indeed.”
