The Fragrance Queen's Final Note novel Chapter 59

"Renata!"

Zander roared like thunder.

Renata had just slinked back into the house and was sitting on the sofa like a ghost.

Hearing Zander's sudden, deafening shout.

She practically jumped out of her skin.

They weren't the only ones in the living room; Queenie and his mother were also there.

Queenie had just returned from the atelier, coming back early specifically because she didn't want to miss the show.

Lianne had just gotten back from a checkup at the hospital.

She had been about to strike up a conversation with Renata when her son stormed in, absolutely radiating fury...

Zander marched right up to Renata and grabbed her by the collar. "That wasn't the real 'Z'! You hired someone to con me, didn't you?!"

Lianne paled in shock, her voice trembling. "Zander, what are you doing?"

"Go to your room! This doesn't concern you!"

Zander had never erupted like this before, his eyes practically splitting with rage.

Renata shook her head, her face completely drained of color. "N-No..."

"Still trying to lie?! Look at this!"

Zander shoved his phone right into her face so she could see the words perfectly clearly.

It was a single, simple message—

*Sorry, I am not 'Z'. I'm just a fake Renata hired to trick you. I don't have the power to help you. Find someone else!*

Below it were several screenshots of her conversations with Renata.

In them, Renata brazenly encouraged her to pose as the trader, assuring her that no one would ever discover her true identity.

Every single word was like a bomb dropping on Zander, blasting his sanity to pieces.

"No, it's not real! These are photoshopped..." Renata desperately denied it, even though she knew full well the screenshots were entirely real. She just couldn't believe this fake "Z" had the nerve to stab her in the back!

She pleaded endlessly, "Zander, you have to believe me! I would never hurt you, I only ever wanted to help! Please, you have to trust me, Zander..."

"You want me to trust you?! Then bring her here right now! This so-called best friend of yours, just deleted her entire account! Contact her! Call her right now!"

Zander was genuinely losing his mind.

He raised his hand, ready to slap her across the face, but looking into her tear-filled, pitiful eyes.

He forced his hand to stop mid-air.
