Besides, as she felt that gentle warmth, Lexie could almost sense something like blood flowing beneath the surface of those transparent wings.

Honestly, these wings didn’t feel like some costume piece at all.

was as if they were truly alive.

To check if the wings were actually real, Lexie felt around the base of them with her hands.

But as soon as her fingers touched the base, the wings sprang open like they had a mind of their own.

Lexie barely had time to be shocked before the wings dissolved into glimmering specks of light and disappeared behind the guy named Hill.

Lexie wasn’t stupid enough to still think they were fake wings.

Before she could even snap out of her shock, Ezra dragged her straight into another room.

This time, Ezra had her touch a giant turtle shell with a naked man stuck inside.

Lexie had barely laid her hand on the shell when, right before her eyes, the whole shell just vanished into thin air. And she just saw a naked guy standing there.

Before Lexie could even get a good look, Ezra whisked her off to yet another room.

R

Lexie honestly felt like she was touring a zoo. She ended up touching every kind of animal there was.

By the time she’d made the rounds, she knew for sure those animal features weren’t some fancy tech. They were absolutely real.

Seeing animal parts actually growing out of people’s bodies, Lexie couldn’t help but think to herself, Are they even human, or are they monsters?

With that thought still lingering, when Lexie walked back into the dining room, she couldn’t help but stare at everyone in shock and fear.

Every guy she saw was ridiculously goodlooking.

They were all tall, with striking looks, like they’d just walked straight out of a comic book.

Lexie was honestly a little dazed. She’d never seen so many handsome guys gathered in one place before.

But then, remembering everything she’d just seen, Lexie could help but think to herself, Did I travel into a world full of monsters or something?

Probably because she was so scared and tense, Lexie’s stomach started cramping up again.

She didn’t have any medicine on her, so the only thing she could do to ease the pain was to drink the nutrient fluid she’d brought along.

Thinking of this, Lexie desperately pulled out her nutrient fluid and started chugging them one after another.

But even after downing more than a dozen vials, her stomach st throbbed with pain.

Lexie clutched her stomach, cursing inwardly, Damn! It hurts so much.”

She stared at the empty vials in front of her, not sure what to do next, Just then, Austin, sitting across from her, lined up a whole bunch of nutrient fluid right in front of her.

These vials looked even clearer, and the nutrient fluid tasted richer and smoother. Once she drank them, she could feel the pain slowly fading away and her body relaxing.

She was still worried the pain might return, because even after se felt better, Lexie still downed two more vials, just to be safe.

Lex, are you feeling any better?Austin asked.

Yeah.Lexie just nodded, still a bit out of it.

How did he even notice I wasn’t feeling well? Did he figure something out?Lexie thought.

Just as Lexie cast a wary glance at Austin, he took out his Optic Brain and placed it right in front of her.

Staring at the semitransparent virtual screen, Lexie saw Arthur appear inside.

Arthur explained, Lex, as an artificial female bot, with the abilities you just showed, you’re clearly a hightier one.

But from what I observed, activating your abilities takes a significant amount of nutrient fluid as energy.

You managed to soothe the beastmen’s rampaging gene disorder all at once, restoring their health.

But in doing so, you drained a lot of your own energy.

That’s why you came back looking so pale and a little out of sorts.

Anyway, Lex, Marshal Drake already gave you some highgrade nutrient fluid.

If you ever feel off after helping others, we’ll always have plenty of highgrade nutrient fluid for you.

And of course, if you ever run into any trouble, just come to find Marshal Drake or me, okay? You know he’s got your back.

Thank you,Lex murmured.

As Arthur spoke, Lexie clutched the highgrade nutrient fluid, and one word suddenly jumped out at herbeastmen.

She thought, So those halfhuman, halfanimal guys I helped earlier are beastmen, not even human. What kind of world did I land in?

Still dazed, Lexie glanced at the Optic Brain in front of her, then shot Austin a puzzled look.

Can it connect to the internet?she asked.

Yeah, it’s an Optic Brain. It can totally go online,” Austin replied

Can I have one too?Lexic asked.

Austin explained, Lex, Optic Brains are strictly registered. Only beastmen and females can use them. Normally, artificial female bots aren’t allowed to have one,

But since you helped out my soldiers carlier, I’ll hook you up with an Optic Brain as a reward.

Thank you, Marshal Drake,Lexie said, her voice full of gratit

Never mind. You deserve it,Austin said with a smile.

As Lexie thanked him, Austin caught the uncertainty in her eyes Instinctively, he reached out, wanting to pat her head and

offer some comfort.

But just as his hand was halfway there, it froze in midair.

Then it hit him that Lexie wasn’t a true female, but an artificial male bot. A gesture like that might make her feel awkward or uncomfortable.

Thus, he pulled his hand back and tried to comfort her in a different way. Lex, chill. I know you’ve been staying on Dora Planet, so all of this must feel overwhelming. But I’ll help you get used to everything here gradually.

Now that you’re on my battleship, you’re under my protection. We’ll make sure you’re well taken care of.

Lexie felt warm after hearing Austin’s gentle words. She nodded her eyes shining with gratitude as she looked at him. Thank you, Marshal Drake.

Austin rNo biggie. You’ve been working for a while now. Bet you must be exhausted. Why don’t you go back to your room with Ryker and get some rest?

As for the Optic Brain you wanted, once I get your ID sorted out I’ll have someone bring it straight to your room.

Oh, and take this too,Austin added, handing her a small bracelet. This bracelet has a storage space inside. There’s some highgrade nutrient fluid, clothes, and jewelry. You’ll probably need them.

Oh, I really appreciate it, Marshal Drake,Lexie said.

Lexie reached out and accepted the delicate bracelet from Austin, clutching it tightly in her hand.
