Seeing Lexie fidgeting with the bracelet, Austin took it from her demonstrated how to pull things out, and then handed it

back.

Lex, just wear it on your wrist. That way, grabbing stuff will be why easier,Austin said.

Got it. Thanks, Marshal Drake,Lexie replied.

Lexie took the bracelet handed by Austin and slipped it onto her wrist without hesitation. The bracelet looked exquisite, with tiny gems sparkling in the light.

The material felt cool and smooth against her skin.

Lexie traced her fingers over the bracelet, her heart swelling with gratitude for Austin’s generosity.

She knew this was more than just a pretty piece of jewelry. It was a handy storage space that would make her life so much easier from now on.

She didn’t know how much the storage bracelet was actually worth, but one thing was clearanything from Austin must be toptier.

Honestly, what got Lexie most excited was seeing with her own eyes that Austin had loaded up the storage space with a ton of highgrade nutrient fluid.

Now that she had all that highgrade nutrient fluid, if her stomach ever started hurting again, she could just drink some to ease it.

As for those fancy clothes and jewelry, she figured she’d better keep things lowkey on a battleship packed with beastmen.

Until she could protect herself, Lexie knew she had to play it saf. Getting into trouble just because of her good looks would be a disaster.

After thanking Austin again, Lexie trailed after Ryker toward her room.

On the way back, Lexie noticed Ryker kept opening his mouth like he wanted to say something, but just couldn’t get the words out.

She shot him a puzzled look, asking, Ryker, is there something you want to tell me?

Lex, um, could you do me a favor?Ryker finally blurted out.

Ryker looked really troubled, and Lexie couldn’t help but ask, What’s going on? Just say it, Ryker. If I can help, you know I

will.”

Ryker explained, Here’s the thing, Lex. I’ve got a brother, and hs got the same genetic disease. His head has completely beastified, and now, it’s starting to spread to the rest of his body

Lex, he’s all I’ve got. When we get to Dophi Planet, could you help him with his genetic disease?

He’s my only family left. I can’t lose him. If you’re willing to help, I can get you whatever you want.

Lexie didn’t even hesitate. She nodded at Ryker, her voice gentle and reassuring. Ryker, I know how to help with your genetic disease now. All it takes is a gentle touch, and I can help your brother, too.

It’s a piece of cake to me, and I’m glad to help you.

Ryker said. Maybe it’s nothing to you, but to me, it means the world.

If you’re willing to save my brother, from now on, other than Marshal Drake, I’ll be your most loyal guard

Just say the word, and I’ll do whatever you want me to do. Even if you asked me to sacrifice my life, I’d do it.

Lexic was totally caught off guard by how serious Ryker was. His heartfelt vow left her stunned, not sure how to react.

When she saw Ryker about to bow, Lexie rushed forward and grabbed his arm to pull him back up.

Lex said, Ryker, don’t do that. Honestly, you guys are the only people I know here. When we get to Dophi Planet, could you help me find a place to stay? It’s my first time going there, and I’m totally broke, so

Lex, you don’t need to worry about money,Ryker said, trying to reassure her. You’re with Marshal Drake now, and with your high tier, he will definitely make sure you have a place to stay.

About that Optic Brain you wanted? Marshal Drake already has someone sorting it out for you. He might even bring it over himself soon.

When Ryker mentioned the Optic Brain, Lexie’s eyes instantly up. By the way, could you show me how to use it later?

No problem. Just leave it to me,Ryker replied with a grin.

Lexie and Ryker exchanged a smile, and at that moment, the distance between them seemed to shrink.

Austin didn’t waste any time. Lexie had barely set foot in her room when her Optic Brain was delivered, and it was Austin himself delivering it.

Seeing Austin personally bring her Optic Brain, Lexie couldn’t help but feel flattered and a bit overwhelmed by all the special attention.

MMarshal,Lexie stammered.

When she saw Austin standing in her doorway, she instinctively took a step back, affected by his intimidating vibe.

Austin could easily pick up on Lexie’s fear. He thought, Am I really that scary? Why does this little bot always get so freaked

out when she sees me?

Even though he didn’t quite understand her fear, Austin reminded himself he was here on business. He managed a gentle smile, stepped up to Lex, and said softly, Lex, I’m here to bring ou your Optic Brain.”

Oh, thank you, Marshal,” Lexie replied.

As Lexie reached out to take the Optic Brain from Austin, he suddenly pulled it back,

But Lex, shouldn’t you at least invite me in first? You want us to st stand here and chat?he teased with an amused smirk.

Lexie realized her slipup and quickly stepped aside, feeling a bi flustered Please, come in, Marshal. Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to be rude

Austin nodded in satisfaction and strode into Lexie’s room.

He glanced around, noticing the place was small, with that nofils military vibe everywhere.

Honestly, this kind of setup just didn’t match a gentle female like Lexic at all.

Even if she was an artificial female bot, living in a place like thisst didn’t feel right for her.

Guess I’ll have to get her a new room once I’m done handing over the Optic Brain, Austin thought to himself.

After checking out the room, Austin turned around and caught sight of Lexie, standing there all tense and unsure off to the side.

Seeing how nervous she was, Austin softened his voice and spoke gently, Lex, relax. I’m just here to bring you your Optic Brain and have a talk with you.

He handed her the Optic Brain, then found himself a spot and sat down.

Lexie took the Optic Brain and couldn’t help feeling a bit anxious inside.

She had no clue what Austin wanted to talk about, but her gut told her this wasn’t going to be an easy chat. She sat down too, doing her best to look cool and composed.

She knew she couldn’t let Austin catch on that anything was wrong with her physically during their conversation.
