Chapter 107
When Cristia asked that, Ares was at a loss for words.
“What’s wrong, Ares?” Cristia pressed.
55 vouches
Ares replied, “Master, I honestly have no clue who ended up getting the message. All I know is, when I sent it out, I could feel several different forces picking up on it.
“As for who actually received it, I really can’t say.”
Cristia’s brows furrowed hearing what Ares said.
They’d only ended up hiding here because their pursuers were right on their tail, and now Ares had just lost his mind and sent out a message without even thinking about the consequences.
Seeing Cristia’s angry face, Ares quickly tried to explain himself.
Ares said, “Master, I was really desperate back then. Dory went out and never came back, you were knocked out from your injuries, and Tumblebeast was basically useless.
“Lex wasn’t doing well at all, and for her safety, I had to ask for help as fast as I could.”
‘I was thinking, as long as someone could save Lex, it didn’t matter who it was. That’s why I didn’t bother to check who would get the message and just gave away our location,‘ Ares explained.
Cristia sighed, “Alright, I get it. Since someone knows we’re here, we can’t stay here anymore.
“Ares, you and Dory, just go into my spatial button. As for Tumblebeast…”
Just as Cristia was stuck on how to deal with Tumblebeast, Gary, standing nearby, casually grabbed it, used the device around its neck to compress it into a tiny ball, and then stuffed it right into his pocket.
“Cristia, can you finally spill the beans and tell me who this Lex you guys keep talking about really is?” Gary asked, half- joking.
Cristia replied, “Lex is the only female in the whole Aetherion Interstellar Zone. Gary, I know you’re always causing trouble, but let me make this absolutely clear.
“Lex is our hope and our salvation.
“When we go to find her, you’d better rein in that wild side of yours and don’t go scaring her.
“If you freak her out, I’ll personally rip off your raw fox skin.”
Gary scoffed, “Seriously? You’d rip off my fox skin for some ugly female? Cristia, you’re really choosing a girl over your own brother.”
“Who said Lex is ugly?” Cristia shot back.
“Well, she’s definitely not as pretty as me,” Gary said with a smug grin.
Hearing that, Cristia looked at Gary’s seductive yet cold face and honestly didn’t know how to argue
back.
After all, there was no denying Gary was a total knockout.

Chapter 107
At least, he was way better looking than me, Cristia thought to himself.
But seeing Gary strutting around, all sing, Cristia just smirked and said slowly, “Gary, looks aren’t everything.
“Lex’s beauty goes way beyond the surface, it’s in her soul and that special vibe she gives off.
“She’s the only female in the whole Aetherion Interstellar Zone, and honestly, no words could ever do justice to how amazing she is.”
Gary scoffed, “Whatever. Even if she’s a female, there’s no way she’s better looking than me. Any female who isn’t as gorgeous as I am is just a total loser.”
Cristia could only stare at him, dumbfounded.
With a brother this full of himself, is he ever going to find love?‘ Cristia wondered.
‘Fat chance, with how vain he is, Cristia sighed inwardly.
“Let’s go,” Cristia said, not wanting to waste another second arguing with Gary.
He ripped open a space gate in the air and waved for Gary to hurry up and follow.
This thing was a special ability only the clan leader of the reclusive Nine–Tail Vulpes had. Kind of like how Kaelen, as the merfolk leader, could slip through any body of water and pop out wherever he wanted, Cristia had his own way of traveling.
He’d secretly formed a mate bond with Lexie, too. If Kaelen could use their mate bond to whisk Lexie away, then Cristia could also use the mate bond to bring her back. ‘No way I’m letting her stay gone,‘ he thought.
As Cristia was about to step through, Gary hurried after him, calling out, “Hey, Cristia, just so we’re clear, I’m not following you into the ocean to mess around with fish.
“You have no idea how damp and nasty it is in there.
“If I get in, my fur’s gonna be all soaked, and I’ll look absolutely ridiculous.
“Plus, I can’t stand the merfolk. They smell all salty and fishy, we can’t eat them, can’t beat them, so what’s the point? I’m not going anywhere near the sea.”
“Got it, let’s go,” Cristia said, rolling his eyes.
He gave Gary a tug and strode straight through the space gate.
‘Seriously, my brother is way too full of himself,‘ Cristia thought.
‘Honestly, what’s so great about him anyway?‘ Cristia thought.
‘Even if he’s good–looking, which beastman would ever fall for a guy like him?‘ Cristia wondered.
As Cristia and Gary vanished through the space gate, up above Aeris Planet, Austin, Arthur, and Nelson all Ares had sent out.
got the message
Not even the particle dust storm raging on the planet could stop them, they dove straight down toward Aeris Planet.
Following the coordinates Ares had sent, all three groups showed up at the cave where Lexie had been staying. Aside from some traces of her stuff and signs she’d lived there, nothing else turned up.
Chapter 107
“Is this where Lex was staying? Austin asked, his woke low and serious as he stared at the rare in front of hir
Arthur answered, “Yeah, this is definitely where Lex was hiding out. See that bed? It’s exactly the kind she likes, 1 picked in our and gave it to her myself.
“I actually bought two beds in different colors. One’s still at my place, and I told Lex to keep this one in her storage space.
“And it’s not just the bed, there’s a bunch of other stuff here, all things I picked out for her. Check out this little lamp. I chose it myself and even had her name engraved on it.
“And this nightstand? I gave it to her, too. She once told me she liked this kind of simple, elegant design.
“Every single thing here was something I picked out for Lex. With all this stuff still here. I’m positive Lex was here”
As Arthur described each item in the cave, he started packing them all back into his storage space, one by one.
Seeing this, Austin, standing off to the side, rubbed his temples in frustration.
“Arthur, stop messing with all this stuff. Just tell me where Lex is, Austin said, his voice tight with impatience.
“How would I know?” Arthur shrugged, sounding casual.
“Uh…” Arthur stalled, not sure what to say next.
Seeing Austin’s face cloud over, Arthur quickly switched to a more friendly tone.
“Marshal, I’d love to tell you where Lex is, but… you see…” Arthur said, jerking his chin to indicate something behind him.
He was motioning for Austin to check out Nelson, who’d come along with them.
