Since Arthur was taking Austin to find Lexie, Nelson figured that if he could just track down Austin, he’d be able to find Lexie

too.

With that in mind, Nelson pulled out his own spatial transporter. After pinpointing Austin’s current location, he stepped right into the transporter.

When Nelson stepped out of the spatial transporter, he found himself in the middle of the vast ocean.

Surrounded by darkness and feeling the crushing pressure of the deep sea, Nelson tossed his spatial capsule out.

In the next instant, a transparent bubble formed around Nelson, shielding him from the water.

After doublechecking Austin’s location, Nelson activated the spatial capsule, making it float to the surface. He rushed toward Austin’s location.

But just as Nelson’s spatial capsule was about to reach Austin, before he could even get a word out, the once calm sea suddenly exploded with waves as tall as mountains.

With those monstrous waves came lightning and thunder, and winds that roared like furious beasts, tearing through everything in their path, as if they were about to devour the whole ocean.

Nelson’s spatial capsule was tossed about, barely holding together in the raging storm, but he gripped the controls tightly, his eyes locked on Austin’s location ahead, unwavering.

Wave after wave crashed against the spatial capsule, the noise deafening, as if the sea itself was trying to swallow him whole.

Surveying the dangerous scene around him, Nelson didn’t flinch at all. Even as he kept his eyes locked on Austin, his gaze unconsciously drifted elsewhere.

Not far away, shrouded by storm clouds and flashes of lightning, he caught a faint glimpse of an island lurking beneath the heavy mist.

The monstrous waves, swirling clouds, and booming thunder stood like sentinels around the island, almost daring anyone to get

close.

Nelson found himself secretly amazed, this mysterious and powerful natural barrier wasn’t something any ordinary person could hope to overcome.

Only Kaelen, the Merman King, could conjure up a natural barrier like this out in the ocean.

But the merfolk had always lived deep beneath the waves, rarely ever dealing with beastmen from the shore.

Especially Kaelen, he looked down on any interaction with beastmen from the shore. So what were Austin and Arthur doing

here?

Could it be that Lexie, that female, was brought here by Kaelen?Nelson wondered.

But how did Kaelen even get to know Lexie in the first place?Nelson couldn’t figure it out.

Even though he couldn’t figure it out, Nelson kept his eyes locked on the island ahead, hoping he could find a way to get past these natural defenses and land there.

He’d already tried it, thanks to the unique magnetic field here, there was no way to use his spatial transporter to land directly

on the island.

That meant he’d have to rely on the most primitive method, just bruteforcing his way in.

Besides, Austin and Arthur hadn’t even made it onto the island yet, so there was no need to hurry.

As Nelson waited for his chance, a sharp scream suddenly rang out, clear as day.

I’m gonna kill that damn fish! This stupid seawater got my fur all wet!

Cristia, you liar! You promised I wouldn’t have to go in the water!

I hate the ocean, I hate the smell of fish, and I hate looking ugly!

You used me as bait for some ugly female? I’m gonna kill you!

Aaaah!

My gorgeous fur! The lightning burned a patch! My beautiful fur, ugh, it hurts so bad! I worked so hard to keep it this smooth and glossy!

Cristia, you bastard! I’m gonna make you regret this!

In the pitchblack sky, a massive ninetail fox darted between flashes of lightning, weaving through the electric chaos.

The howling wind and pounding rain drenched his fur, while his nine tails battled the lightning overhead, fending off each strike.

As the fox dodged bolt after bolt, he kept cursing nonstop.

Close by, an even bigger ninetail purple fox was feeding on the lightning in the air with its powers, its massive tails slashing straight through the towering waves, hellbent on breaking its way onto the island.

Seeing those two gigantic purple ninetail foxes darting through the stormy sky, there was no way Nelson or Austin wouldn’t recognize them.

Aren’t those the reclusive NineTail Vulpes?Nelson thought.

Compared to regular ninetail foxes, the reclusive NineTail Vulpes weren’t just way bigger, they all had the same deep purple fur, and their insane abilities made them impossible to ignore.

Each tail was loaded with raw lightning power, and rumor had it that when they went full nutols they could blow up a planet in seconds.

The reclusive NineTail Vulpes pretty much never showed up in front of anyone, so regular folks did even know they existed.

But right now, those purple ninetail foxes, creatures people only dreamed about, were showing off their jawdropping powers, clashing with the insane force the merfolk had thrown down.

Watching that kind of raw power, no one could help but feel a chill run down their spine.

Nelson and Austin couldn’t take their eyes off the two giant ninetail foxes hovering in the stormy sky, their faces grew grim as the weight of the moment sank in.

As Nelson and Austin watched the purple ninetail foxes tearing through the sky, tense and on edge, they spotted Arthur fiddling with some strange device, scanning the air with it.

When the device aligned to a certain spot, Arthur’s eyes lit up with excitement.

The next moment, he looked up at Cristia, who was still darting through the sky, and shouted anxiously.

Cristia, aim your power at nine o’clock! That’s where the entrance to the island ist

Hearing Arthur’s words and spotting the strange device in his hand, Cristia’s gaze turned fierce. He instantly shifted his attack toward the direction Arthur indicated.

He took a deep breath, every muscle in his body tensing up, as if he was channeling all his strength into this one moment.

His nine tails lashed out, each one sparking with blinding lightning, as he struck hard at the nine o’clock spot Arthur had called out.

As Cristia unleashed his attack, the air itself seemed to tear apart, and a massive crack ripped open across the surface of the sea. Water exploded outward, waves crashing everywhere in a wild frenzy.

Little by little, a shadowy, mysterious entrance to the island revealed itself, giving off a vibe that was both ancient and insanely powerful.

Nelson and Austin couldn’t hide the shock and excitement in their eyes as they watched the scene unfold.

They never expected Arthur’s strange device to nail the island’s entrance so perfectly. But what really blew their minds was, when did Arthur even get acquainted with Cristia, that ninetail vulpes beastman?
