Staring at the entrance to the island, Cristia retracted his nine tails and landed steadily on the water. When he looked at Arthur, there was a new layer of gratitude in his eyes.
Arthur just gave a faint smile and put away his device. ‘Once I get on that island, I’m going to rip every last scale off that dead fish Kaelen,‘ he thought.
“That damn merman! I only asked him to help find Lex, not to haul her off to his island!‘ Arthur grumbled to himself.
‘Kaelen didn’t just bring Lex to his island, he even set up all these traps to keep us from getting anywhere near Lex.
‘Ha! Kaelen really has some guts, Arthur thought.
“Marshal Drake, let’s head to the island now,” Arthur said.
“Okay,” Austin replied.
As they headed for the island, Austin shot Nelson a frosty look before quickly leading Arthur onto the island.
Meanwhile, up in the sky, Cristia didn’t even spare Gary a glance. While Gary was busy trying to tidy up his fur, Cristia just grabbed him by the tail and dragged him straight toward the island’s entrance.
“Seriously, Cristia! Are you crazy? Why are you yanking my tail? My beautiful tail! You’re ruining my perfect fur!” Gary shouted.
“Stop complaining and hurry up!” Cristia snapped.
Cristia didn’t bother with Gary’s protests and just dragged him straight to the entrance.
Just as Cristia dragged Gary up to the entrance, the passage he’d just opened closed again right as they arrived.
After rejoining Arthur, Cristia released Gary and, with a cold tone, pointed at Nelson, who was trailing behind them.
“Gary, if you can finish him off, I’ll make myself the clan leader of the Nine–Tail Vulpes again. But if you can’t even handle. him, then you can just keep wasting away in that position for a few more years,” Cristia said.
“Come on, Cristia! You can’t keep your word for even five minutes! You promised me y clan leader of the Nine–Tail Vulpes!” Gary yelled.

“Gary, you sneak up and ambush me, so why can’t I break a promise? Tell me, are you gonn
“If you do, I’ll head back to the clan and take up the leader’s seat again,” Cristia shot back.
When Cristia said that, Gary shot a look at Nelson, who was just standing off to the side, totally chill and not bothered at all by their conversation.
Gary hesitated for a second, then asked, sounding a bit uncertain.
“Cristia, if I actually take him out and end up covered in blood, what if that ugly female you keep talking about freaks out when she sees me?” Gary said.
“First off, Lex isn’t ugly. Second, you’re not her mate. You don’t like her, she doesn’t like you, so there’s really no point in you meeting her, Cristia said.
“If you don’t see her, then Lex won’t have to see you looking like a total mess, Cristia added.

Chapter 110
“No way! I have to meet that so–called ‘ugly female who managed to survive the Clyssia Virus
“I wanna see what kind of tricks she’s got, how she ended up as the only survivor. All the other females died, but the made is through. She must be hiding some huge secret, Gary said.
Seeing Gary all fired up, Cristia shot him a look of pure disdain, lifted his foot, and strode off without another word
As soon as Cristia walked away, Gary, who’d been acting like a down just moments before, instantly turned serious
He turned to Nelson, stretched his arms, and flashed him a wicked grin that screamed trouble
‘Crown Prince of the Aetherion Federation, Nelson Murphy: Gary said with a mocking grin.
‘Gary, current clan leader of the Nine–Tail Vulpes, Nelson said, his tone full of swagger.
Heh, not bad, you actually know who I am. But today, you’re not walking out of here alive. Once you’re dead. I’m finally off the hook. That damn clan leader job? I can finally toss it for good,” Gary sneered
Nelson remained unfazed by Gary’s words.
“Gary, do you know who your brother went to see?” Nelson asked coolly.
“He went to see the girl he’s into, that ugly female, Gary replied with a mocking grin.
“Gary, don’t you want to claim the last surviving female on the planet?” Nelson asked.
“Nah, not my type. Your boy here doesn’t do ugly freaks. I just saw her face on Cristia’s Optic Brain…..
“Tsk tsk, she’s a whole new level of ugly,” Gary scoffed.
Nelson was left speechless for a moment when Gary just called Lexie ugly.
‘Okay, sure, Lexie isn’t some drop–dead gorgeous supermodel, but she’s definitely not ugly! Plus, she’s basically one of a kind, how could Gary, a beastman, act like she’s nothing special?‘ Nelson thought.
Nelson eyed Gary, taking in his delicate, almost pretty features. Wait… could he be…? Nelson couldn’t help but wonder.
Gary met Nelson’s odd stare and shot him a fierce glare, his voice dripping with hostility.
“Nelson, what the hell are you looking at me like that for?” Gary snapped.
“Gary, if you don’t like Lexie, then… are you into beastmen instead?” Nelson asked, r
ebrow.
“Hell no! I just can’t stand ugly females, alright? Who the hell said I swing that way with be
‘Nelson, you son of a bitch! How dare you smear my name like that? I’m gonna tear you apart right now!” Gary roared, his voice full of fury.
As he spoke, Gary’s hands morphed into razor–sharp claws, and he swiped straight for Nelson’s neck.
But before he could do anything, a furious roar erupted from the distance, startling him.
While Gary was distracted, turning to see where the sound came from, Nelson took advantage of the moment and dashed off toward it.
Seeing Nelson take off, Gary immediately gave chase.

I promised Cristia I’d help him take Nelson out, no way I’m backing down now, Gary thought, determination flashing in his
eyes.
If he could just finish Nelson off for Cristia, he’d finally be able to ditch that damn Nine–Tail Vulpes clan leader job for good.
But when Gary charged out of the passage, he was totally floored by what he saw.
Right there on the green grass, Kaelen, the head of the merfolk, was half–dressed and sprawled out on the ground.
And sitting right on his waist was someone else, just as half–dressed. Gary’s first thought was, ‘Is that some crazy female?
That female had both hands wrapped tight around Kaelen’s neck, shaking him for all she was worth as she yelled at him.
“Kaelen, you absolute bastard! I haven’t even had a proper relationship yet, and now you drop the bomb that I’m pregnant?
“Damn it, you scumbag! You really went and took advantage of me! I thought I was just having some crazy dream, but nope, turns out it was all real!
“You piece of shit! First you pull that mate bond crap, then you skip the whole dating part and make me a mom overnight!
“If I don’t choke you out right here, then I’m not Lexie Goodwin!
“You bastard merman, you fish jerky, you damn monster, I’m ending you today!” Lexie yelled, her voice trembling with fury.
