Chapter 115
Gary was still grumbling inwardly, but he knew he’d really pissed off Cristia this time. So he lowered his head and muttered, ‘Got it. I won’t say it again.”
Seeing Gary chicken out, Cristia stepped forward, reaching for Lexie’s hand, but Kaelen blocked him.
You damn fox, Lex is my mate. How dare you try to hold her hand right in front of me?” Kaelen snapped.
You damn fish, you forced Lex to be with you. Now you want to keep her trapped in the ocean, all to yourself? You really want to lose that tail of yours?” Cristia shot back.
just seeing Kaclen pissed Cristia off all over again.
If he hadn’t been seriously injured back then, there was no way he would have let that damn fish steal the spotlight.
Now Kaelen and Lex even had a baby together, while he was still nobody in Lexie’s heart.
It was enough to make him lose it.
If he didn’t put that useless fish in his place today, he didn’t deserve to be king of the Nine–Tail Vulpes.
Just thinking about it, Cristia looked like he was about to shoot lasers from his eyes at Kaelen. Kaelen shot back a glare that was just as deadly.
As soon as their eyes met, before Lexie could even process what was happening, Cristia and Kaelen were already tangled up. fists flying so fast she could barely see a thing.
Lexie’s eyes widened as she watched the fight break out right in front of her, completely stunned.
Weren’t they just arguing a second ago? It was just a few words! How did it suddenly turn into a brawl? Lexie thought, still in shock.
Just as Lexie rushed forward to try and stop them, Arthur grabbed her arm and held her back.
“Lex, don’t worry about it. Let them go at it. They’ll be fine once they’re done,” Arthur said.
As soon as Arthur finished talking, there was a huge crash, Cristia and Kaelen crashed right into a nearby table and totally wrecked it.
Lexie’s mouth twitched as she watched the scene unfold.
‘These two are such a handful, Lexie thought.
They just destroyed a perfectly good table. Bet that hurts like hell!‘ she winced inwardly.
As Cristia and Kaelen were going at it, Lexie was at a loss for what to do. Suddenly, a figure flashed past her, it was the sharp- tongued Gary.
He yanked the two fighters apart, then shot them a look of pure disgust.
“Enough, you two! Cut it out! It’s just over some ugly female! Is she really worth all this?
“Seriously, you’re both making fools of yourselves,” Gary said.
Hearing Gary’s words, Cristia and Kaelen finally called it quits, still shooting daggers at each other.

But now, most of those death stares were aimed straight at Gary.
Gary caught their hostile glares and instinctively stepped back, then shot them a confused look.
“What, you two wanna go at me now? Just so you know, I’m not scared of you,” he added, trying to act all tough.
Gary couldn’t help but step back again as he spoke.
Seeing Gary back off like that, Kaelen and Cristia shot each other a look, then, in perfect sync, both charged straight at him.
Seeing those three start brawling all over again, Lexie couldn’t be bothered to deal with it anymore. She just plopped herself down wherever and sat right on the floor.
When Arthur and Austin saw Lexie sitting there, they just plopped down next to her, joining her on the ground.
Austin shifted to face Lexic, and after a brief hesitation, he reached out and took her hand.
The warmth of his touch sent a jolt through Lexie, and she turned to Austin, her eyes full of shock she couldn’t hide.
“Marshal…” she whispered.
“Lex, you can call me Austin from now on,” Austin said gently.
“Austin… Marshal…” Lexie hesitated, her voice wavering as she struggled with what to call him.
Austin couldn’t help but sigh, the sound heavy with emotion.
After a long sigh, Austin turned to Lexie, his voice soft and gentle. “Lex, you said you liked me before. Does that still mean anything?”
“Of course it still counts,” Lexie said softly. “I’m just… scared you won’t like me anymore. I mean, I’m already someone else’s mate, and I’m carrying Kaelen’s mer egg.
“Honestly, I’m such a handful. Someone like me… I really don’t think I deserve you.”
“What do you mean you don’t deserve him?” Arthur said, cutting in gently. “Lex, with your status, beastmen like Austin would line up for you. You could have as many as you want.
“It’s you who gets to choose, not them.
“Lex, whoever you want to be with, or however many people you want around you, that’s totally up to you. You haven’t done anything wrong, okay?”
Suddenly hearing Arthur say that, Lexie, with all those feelings she’d been bottling up, was left completely speechless.
Seeing Lexie looking at him, Arthur firmly turned her shoulders so she was facing him, meeting her eyes with total
seriousness.
“Lex, you’re the one and only precious female in the entire Aetherion Interstellar Zone. Let’s not even talk about your talents or looks right now.
“Your status alone is something every beastman out there can only wish for.
“If this whole civilization wants to survive, they literally need you.
“And don’t forget about their gene disease, if they want any hope of getting cured, they’ve gotta come to you. Lex, it’s them

who need you, not the other way around.
In the whole Aetherion Interstellar Zone, you’re the most valuable person there is.

“When it comes to these beastmen, you don’t have to chase after anyone. If they want to be with you, just go ahead and accept it, no need to be shy.
“But if they don’t want to stick around…
“Easy, just kick them to the curb and let them roll.
“Females like you are one in a million, but beastmen? They’re everywhere. You get what I’m saying?” Arthur continued.
“Huh?” Lexie stared blankly, totally lost for a moment,
Seeing Lexie so spaced out, Arthur repeated himself.
“Lex, did you catch what I was saying?”
“Alright, I understand,” Lexie said softly.
Under Arthur’s expectant gaze, Lexie found herself nodding almost without thinking.
“Since you get it, just turn around and ask Austin straight up if he wants to be with you.
“If he’s down for your mer egg, then you two should just go for it,” Arthur said.
“But… what if Austin doesn’t want to be with me?” Lexie mumbled, uncertainty flickering in her eyes as she nervously glanced at Arthur.
“Easy. Just boot him out and pick someone new, no big deal,” Arthur said with a grin.
“Huh?” Lexie just stared, looking totally confused.
