After hearing Cristia pour his heart out, Lexie pressed her lips together awkwardly, not quite sure how to react.

Honestly, his words made her feel self–conscious and embarrassed, because she really didn’t think she was as great as he said she was.

Before she ended up in this world, Lexie was just your average girl, sure, she had a little cash, but she was basically just another face in the crowd, nothing special.

But now, hearing Cristia praise her like that, Lexie couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed, but also secretly pleased.

Just as Lexie was secretly enjoying the moment, Gary’s next comment made her instantly furious.

“Get lost, you stupid fox! I love hearing compliments, deal with it! I didn’t ask you to butter me up, so back off,” Lexie shot back.

After shooting Gary a glare, Lexie, under Gary’s disapproving stare, grabbed Cristia’s hands and acted all mushy on purpose.

“Cristia, I like you too. I’ll admit, I’m pretty superficial, I just like that you’re hot, you’ve got a great body, you never lose your temper, and you’re ridiculously sweet,” she said.

“Lex, I swear I’ll work on being even more your type. If I get even hotter, will you love me more?” Cristia said with a playful

“Heh, you’ll get a ten out of ten from me,” Lexie shot back with a mischievous laugh.

Honestly, with Cristia’s drop–dead gorgeous looks, how could Lexie not be head over heels for him?

Meanwhile, Lexie and Cristia were all lovey–dovey, while Gary was sulking in the corner, looking like he’d just swallowed a lemon.

He’d always been butting heads with Lexie, but it wasn’t like he actually hated her. It’s just that from the very start, they’d been bickering nonstop, and now he had no idea how to swallow his pride and make peace with her.

What really got under his skin was seeing Lexie’s face go back to being plain and ordinary. It just pissed him off to no end.
