Seeing Arthur reach out his hand, Kaelen placed his own on top and held Arthur’s hand tightly.
“Arthur, thank you. Thank you for trusting me,” Kaelen said.
Arthur gently patted the back of Kaelen’s hand and smiled.
“Don’t mention it! Lex is my life, my everything. Of course I trust her,” Arthur replied.
At this point, Arthur paused, then looked at Kaelen and continued.
“And honestly, I trust my own judgment, I know you’ll take good care of Lex,” Arthur said.
Kaelen nodded with determination.
“I promise I will! So, should we let Lex know about the mer eggs now?” Kaelen asked.
“Let’s wait until we have the test results before telling Lex. Let her enjoy being carefree for now.
“When the mer eggs comes into the world in five months, she’ll find out everything she needs to know,” Arthur said.
“Alright,” Kaelen replied.

Lexie was totally clueless about the whole mer egg situation. Right now, she was completely absorbed in the Interstellar Net.
The Aetherion Empire had already made it public that Amya was dead, and revealed she was actually a bionic human.
On top of that, Austin exposed on the Interstellar Net that Prince Nelson had secretly created bionic humans.
After these two bombshells dropped, people on the Interstellar Net lost it. The person they’d pinned all their hopes on turned out to be nothing more than a bionic human.
If Amya was just another bionic human, then the spark of hope that had just ignited in their hearts was about to be snuffed
out.
With no hope for the future, how could they even find the strength to carry on?
That’s why everyone was going after Nelson, furious that he’d fooled them with a bionic human.
He’d given them something to believe in, only to snatch it away and leave them in utter despair.
Nelson became public enemy number one overnight. The hate on the Interstellar Net was so overwhelming, it was like a tidal wave crashing down on him.
Even though Lexie knew Nelson was the mastermind behind all this, seeing everyone tear him apart online, and some even calling for Nelson to be executed just to appease the public’s rage, she couldn’t help but feel complicated about it.
She was hiding out in her room, her brows furrowed slightly as she scrolled through the news on the Interstellar Net, her feelings were all over the place,
‘Didn’t Austin say he was taking Nelson back to handle everything about Ms. Reyes and the bionic humans? Lexie thought.

Chapter 134
‘How did things spiral out of control like this after they left?‘ she wondered.

Seeing so many people on the Interstellar Net calling for Nelson to be executed, and seeing Nelson himself speaking out, Lexic could only sigh, she just didn’t know what else she could do.
Deep down, Lexie knew that if she stepped up and revealed her pregnancy, it would take the heat off the whole Amya bionic human scandal, and she could get Nelson off the hook.
But she just couldn’t do it.
If she exposed herself now, with things so crazy out there, it’d only make things worse for her, there was nothing good that could come from revealing her identity right now.
Besides, just like Nelson said, even if she was with him, it was just business between them, nothing more.
So, when it came to her own interests, there was no way she was going to be dumb enough to take the fall for him right now.
But now that Nelson was right in the middle of the storm, she couldn’t help but wonder if he’d throw her under the bus just to save his own skin.
After all, Nelson had told her straight to her face, when it came to his own interests, he’d always pick whatever option was best for him.
Now that his life was on the line, and he needed to calm the public’s fury, Lexie wouldn’t be shocked at all if he ended up outing her to save himself.
‘Guess I’ll just have to wait and see what Nelson decides to do next,‘ Lexie thought.
After shutting down her Optic Brain, Lexie considered reaching out to Austin to check in on how things were going on his side.
But when she tried calling, nobody answered.
‘He’s probably buried in work right now, Lexie thought. ‘With all this chaos, there’s no way he’s not swamped. And with Nelson in hot water, Austin’s definitely got his own mess to handle.’
‘Doesn’t matter if Amya was a bionic human or not, she died in the Aetherion Empire. As marshal, Austin’s gonna have to take the fall for this, one way or another, Lexie mused.
After calling a few times and still getting nothing, Lexie just hung up. ‘I’ll just try reaching out to Austin again tomorrow when things aren’t so crazy,‘ she thought.
What Lexie didn’t know was that, right then, Austin had already had his authority taken away and was being held somewhere out of sight.
His Optic Brain had already been taken away.
While Lexie kept dialing Austin’s Optic Brain over and over, she had no clue that her own Optic Brain had already been locked onto by someone behind the scenes.
“Are we sure? Can we pinpoint the female’s exact location now?” A beastman in the metal mask asked, his voice cold as he stared at the monitor.
“We’ve got her location locked in. Boss, should we go get her now?” one of his subordinates asked,
