While everyone was deep in thought, Cristia, sitting off to the side, asked with a confused look.

He said, Dr. Cole, if Lex’s scent can actually cure the gene disease in beastmen, then when she comes back, does that mean she could use her scent to cure the gene disease in beastmen?

You know, every beastman in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone has gene disease. It makes our bodies regress into animalistic forms, and it makes us die young.

And that’s not all. This gene disease seriously limits how much we can grow stronger.

So I was wondering, once Lex comes back, could we bottle her scent, synthesize it, and turn it into a cure we can spread throughout the whole Aetherion Interstellar Zone?

After all, the gene chains in the Genesis Pods are already breaking down.

I don’t want the newborns to be doomed to the same suffering we went through because of gene disease.

Arthur’s eyes lit up briefly as he listened to Cristia. After thinking it over, he gave Cristia a firm nod.

He said, Absolutely, I think it’s doable. I’ll try to replicate Lex’s scent and see if it works.

If we can pull this off, it could be a real lifesaver for every beastman out there.

Hearing this, Nelson, who had been leaning off to the side, quickly asked, Arthur, is there any way to replicate Lex’s genes?

If we could copy her genes, we could use the Genesis Pods to bring more females into the world.

Lex isn’t afraid of the Clyssia Virus, so any females born from her genes would be immune too.

If we can clone Lex’s genes, then, once those females are born, we won’t have to worry anymore.

Arthur let out a long sigh and looked at Nelson, his voice heavy.

He said, Prince Nelson, do you really think I haven’t tried to replicate Lex’s genes before? I’ve already tried, but her genes just can’t be copied.

Once her genes are removed from her body, they immediately lose their viability. There’s simply no way to replicate them.

Even with Lex’s full cooperation, even extracting her genes from her blood, just like before, as soon as those genes are outside her body, they inevitably become inactive.

And even if, by some miracle, the extracted genes stayed active, I still couldn’t clone them.

He continued, Prince Nelson, after countless experiments, I’ve discovered that Lex’s genetic makeup is fundamentally different from ours.

That’s exactly why she’s immune to the Clyssia Virus.

There’s only ever going to be one Lex in this world. No matter what I do, I just can’t clone another Lex.

Nelson kept his eyes locked on Arthur for a long time. When he saw Arthur wasn’t backing down, he finally asked, his tone heavy.

He said, Arthur, this is the future of every beastman in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone we’re talking about. Don’t even think about lying to me on something this important. Got it?

Arthur replied, If you don’t believe me, I’ve still got Lex’s live genetic samples right here. If you think you’ve got the skills, have your team try cloning them yourself.

If you can actually use her genes to successfully clone a living female, that would be a huge win for the whole Aetherion Interstellar Zone. I’d be the last to object.

Nelson said, Whether you object or not, it doesn’t matter. No one’s opinion matters here. Just hand over Lex’s live genetic samples. I want to see for myself if it’s really impossible to clone her genes, just like you said.

Arthur said, Alright then! I’ll be watching closely. Let’s see if you really have what it takes to replicate Lex’s genes.”

Nelson locked eyes with Arthur, who looked totally unfazed, then gave him a frosty glare.

Nelson’s gaze was loaded with distrust for Arthur.

While Nelson and Arthur were shooting daggers at each other, Gary and Austin couldn’t care less.

They’d seen this play out plenty of times before.

But

Gary glanced at Marshal Drake and teased, Marshal Drake, haven’t you ever thought about using Lex’s genes to make a clone of her?

Austin turned to him, his eyes blazing. He stared at Gary so hard that Gary started to squirm, and only then did Austin speak in a low, serious tone.

For the greater good, of course I want to use Lex’s genes to make a bunch of clones. If I could bring more females into the world through cloning, it’d be an absolute gamechanger for every beastman in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone.

But on a personal level, I can’t stand the idea of anyone using Lex’s genes to create a clone.

Lex is the female woman I love, she means everything to me.

I love her, so I won’t let any clones show up and mess with her life.

Besides, the idea of any beastman having a clone of Lex and getting to be all loveydovey with her just makes me sick.

If someone ever dared to parade a clone of Lex right in front of me, honestly, I’d want to tear them apart.

Gary, take away my rank as Marshal and I’m just a regular beastman. I’ve got all the same emotions and desires as anyone else, I get jealous, I get angry, and I hurt, too.

I can’t even imagine seeing a clone of Lex standing there, living happily with another beastman. That would be pure torture

for me.

So even if I know using Lex’s genes could save every beastman in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone, I just can’t go through with it.
