I can’t say for sure. How long it takes for the mer eggs to hatch really depends on their own strength,” Kaelen said.

If the eggs are strong enough, they might hatch in just a few months. But if they’re weak, it could take years, maybe even decades.

Dr. Cole, you just checked and said these two male eggs are in great shape, so they’ll definitely hatch much earlier,Kaelen added.

As for the female egg, since the two sisters are sharing it, their hatching time will for sure be shorter than their brothers.

But even if it takes longer, that’s totally fine. As long as they hatch safely, whether it’s a year, ten years, or even more, I’ll wait patiently with them, every step of the way,Kaelen said softly.

When Arthur met Kaelen’s gentle gaze, his eyes shifted to the two mer eggs. He couldn’t help but think, What is Lex up to ight now?

She’d left when she was so weak. Was she doing better now? Did she ever think about us when she had some free time?

Right now, Lexie was bundled up in a thick coat, gazing out the heavy glass window, deep in thought.

Ever since she woke up, her mind was completely blank.

she couldn’t remember her own name, or even why she’d ended up here. The only thing she knew was that every beastman he met was super respectful toward her.

What really confused Lexie was that, after all this time, she was the only female here. From the High Priest down to the

uards and cooks, every single person was a guy.

Actually, not just guys, beastmen. Lexie had seen them shift into huge snow wolves with her own eyes.

Their sharp claws and teeth, strong bodies, and those intense, almost burning gazes left her feeling both amazed and a little cared.

she’d tried to talk to them, hoping to learn more about this world, but every time she asked something, they’d just give her in unreadable look and then respectfully leave.

Everyone treated her with respect, but no one really understood her, and that made Lexie feel more lost and alone than

:ver.

she’d been here for ages, and no one ever really talked to her. The only way she could peek into the outside world was hrough this watchlike thing on her wrist.

One of the servants who looked after her told her it was called an Optic Brain.

She felt like she’d heard that term before, but she couldn’t remember where.

Up here in these towering snowcapped mountains, her Optic Brain only worked when it felt like it, so she barely ever got a chance to see what was going on outside.

But

Lexa voice sounded.

As she watched the tall, imposing beastman emerge from the swirling snow, Lexie’s gaze instinctively fell on the bouquet of flowers he held.

The petals were translucent and snowwhite, and thanks to the falling snow, they were dusted with sparkling snowflakes.

With the snow as their backdrop, the flowers looked even more pristine and flawless, like nature’s most exquisite masterpiece.

The beastman holding the flowers strode over, each step confident and strong, like he was made of pure resolve.

When the masked beastman looked at Lexie, his eyes weren’t cold or distant at all, instead, there was a gentle softness and a spark of hope in them.

Lex, these are for you,” he said.

His voice was low and captivating as he held out the bouquet to Lexie.

Lexie blinked in surprise as he handed her the flowers.

She never would’ve guessed that the beastman who always hid behind a metal mask, whose every move left her feeling lost and alone, would actually show up with flowers for her.

Lexie knew what it meant when a beastman gave a female flowers.

He was trying to court her.

Soshould I accept the flowers he’s giving me?Lexie thought.

As Lexie hesitated, she looked up and met the beastman’s steady, sincere gaze. After a brief pause, she finally reached out and took the bouquet.

The flowers felt cold in her hands, but somehow, there was a strange warmth to them that seemed to reach right into her heart.

Ththank you, Lexie stammered.

Lexie’s fingers brushed over the chilly petals, her voice trembling. She didn’t even know how to describe what she was feeling right now.

She’d lost all her memories, she couldn’t remember anything about her past.

Now that someone was giving her flowers, Lexie wasn’t even sure if it was right to accept them.

When Lexie said thank you, Kaelis lowered his head and looked at her face.

Now that the concealment Kaelen and Cristia had placed on her face had faded, Lexie’s breathtaking beauty was finally

revealed.

Seeing Lexie looking so stunning, Kaclis couldn’t help but be moved.

But he couldn’t just approach her yet.

The High Priest had said Lexie had lost her memory for now, and he couldn’t take advantage of her by confessing his feelings while she was like this.

For someone who’d lost their memory, if he tried to confess now, wouldn’t that just be taking advantage of her!
