Hearing the High Priest say that, Lexie felt his generosity and couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward.

High Priest, I mean it. Even if I got my memories back, I’d still like you,she said.

Lex, I’m confident in both my talent and my looks. Honestly, even if you hadn’t lost your memory, you’d still fall for me,the High Priest replied.

UhLexie mumbled. Seeing him so confident and yet so modest, Lexie was left speechless.

After a moment, Lexie reached out and took the High Priest’s hand, a gentle smile spreading across her face.

Honestly, with a face that gorgeous, Lexie knew she’d have fallen for him no matter what, even if she’d never lost her

memory.

After seeing the High Priest off, Lexie lay alone in bed, staring out at the snow swirling outside the window, lost in thought.

When she saw Gary today and heard what he said, she wasn’t sure whether to believe him or not.

She honestly had no idea which parts were true and which were just made up.

Now, she was dying to know what kind of memories she’d lost that would lead her to have so many mates.

As she replayed Gary’s words in her mind, Lexie glanced down at her palm, her fingers gently rubbing the black mark there.

Gary had said that the crystal card was a gift from Prince Nelson of the Aetherion Federation.

Now, that crystal card had turned into a small mark on her palm. And just now, the High Priest had told her it was, in fact, a spatial teleporter.

If it really was a spatial teleporter, could it send her to someplace she’d never been before?

Just thinking about it, Lexie’s eyes lit up, she couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement.

She quickly got up, changed into some casual sportswear, threw on a hat, and gave the mark on her palm a good rub.

She was eager to find out where this black mark would actually send her.

Of course, if it really worked, that’d be awesome. If not, no big deal.

As Lexie rubbed the mark with an expectant look on her face, she didn’t notice the atmosphere around her subtly shifting.

The next second, Lexie vanished from the room.

As soon as Lexie vanished, the High Priest and Kaelis stood outside in the swirling snow, quietly gazing toward her room.

High Priest, are you really sure it’s safe to let Lexie go out there by herself? What if something happens? Kaelis asked, his voice full of worry.

She’ll be fine, the High Priest replied, sounding completely calm.

How can you be so sure? Lexie’s just a little female, and her identity isn’t a secret anymore.

Now you’re letting her go out there on her own, what if someone tries to hurt her?Kaelis pressed, clearly anxious.

The High Priest answered, his tone mild and unfazed.

Kaelis, there’ll be someone waiting for her on the other side of the passage to keep her safe,he said.

The other side? High Priest, you mean Prince Nelson from the Aetherion Federation?Kaelis asked, uncertain.

Yeah, that’s him,the High Priest replied.

But Nelson is so shrewd, always thinking several steps ahead. Do you really think someone like that can be trusted?Kaelis pressed, doubt clear in his voice.

There’s no one in this world I trust more than him,the High Priest replied, his tone unwavering.

What? High Priest, I know Nelson pretty well. He’s always got his own agenda, and everything he does is for his own benefit.

How can you say someone like that is trustworthy? What if he ends up hurting Lexie? How are we supposed to face Marshal Drake and the rest if that happens?Kaelis asked, worry etched in his words.

The High Priest just gave Kaelis a casual look.

Kaelis, Nelson might be calculating and always scheming for his own benefit, but he’s a man you can trust.

He handed that crystal card to Lexie right in front of me, that was his way of showing where he stands. He’ll make sure Lexie is safe.

And honestly, in this world, who else could really keep someone like Lex safe, except for Marshal Drake and Prince Nelson?the High Priest added, his tone unwavering.

Hearing that, Kaelis couldn’t think of a single thing to say.

Honestly, in this world, who else could possibly protect the only female like Lexie, except for Marshal Drake and Prince Nelson?

Even though Kaelis still didn’t fully trust Nelson, at this moment, he had to trust Nelson, whether he liked it or not.

Because he trusted his own High Priest, if the High Priest said it, Kaelis would believe anything he said.

But

High Priest, have you really fallen for Lexie?Kaelis asked, sounding a bit unsure.

Yeah, the High Priest replied without a moment’s hesitation.

Kaelis was so stunned by the High Priest’s blunt answer that he couldn’t even find the words to respond.

But when Kaelis met the High Priest’s cool, distant eyes, he hesitated for a moment, then couldn’t help but ask.

High Priest, you’ve fallen for Lexicbut what about me? Do I still get to have feelings for her?Kaelis said, his voice uncertain, a hint of longing in his words.

That’s entirely up to you. If you truly like her, then go ahead, be brave and confess your feelings.
