Upon hearing Dory’s orders, Ares first dragged Kaelis, still in his beast form, into the cave from outside. Only then did he turn around and start tidying up the place.

He unleashed his energy to smash the rocks scattered inside the cave, then swiftly piled them up at the entrance, blocking out the biting wind and swirling snow.

After that, he used his power to smooth out the cave floor, pulled a bed out of his storage space, and set it down so Lexie could rest comfortably.

Once everything was done, Ares walked over to Dory, his voice echoing with a mechanical tone as he spoke to her.

Dory, I’ve fixed up the cave just like you asked. Can Lex rest now?Ares asked.

Rest my ass! Lex has lost her memory, I need to treat her head injury. Seriously, what are Nelson and Gary even good for? How can they not handle something as basic as memory loss?Dory said, her tone grim.

And another thing, what the hell was Lex doing out here all by herself in this icy wilderness?she continued.

Lexie gave them a brief explanation of her encounter with the Bloodthirsty Beast Clan, then added in a gentle voice.

All I know is, that black mist, those bloodthirsty beasts Gary mentioned, swept me up into the sky, and then I blacked out.

When I came to, I was lying right on the edge of a cliff. As for those bloodthirsty beasts that dragged me and Gary here, I have no clue where they went,Lexie said.

Bloodthirsty beasts?Dory repeated, her voice full of confusion.

She cocked her head, froze for a second, then looked at Lexie with a gentle expression.

Lex, bloodthirsty beasts are one of the most dangerous species in the Aetherion Interstellar Zone. They’re insanely strong and fast, and they’re vicious, they love nothing more than feasting on the flesh of other species.

Lex, are you sure it was the Bloodthirsty Beast Clan you saw?Dory asked.

Yeah, those maneating Bloodthirsty Beast Clan. Just now, I saw them drain a bunch of beastmen of Snow Wolf Clan until they were nothing but bones.

Dory, those bloodthirsty beasts are absolutely horrifying. As soon as the snow and wind let up a bit, we should get out of

here.

If those bloodthirsty beasts come after us again, we’re in serious trouble,Lexie said.

Lex, you don’t have to worry with us around. Ares and I are both biomechas, those bloodthirsty beasts don’t scare us one bit.

As long as we’re here, there’s no way they’ll lay a finger on you.

Right now, getting your memory back is what matters most. Lex, just sit tight and let me help you out. Dory said

You really think my memory can come back?Lexie asked, a hint of doubt in her voice.

Absolutely. Just sit tight, Lex, I’ll help you get it back.Dory said, sounding confident.

Alright,Lexie replied quietly.

As Lexie met Dory’s mechanical gaze, she couldn’t help but feel an unexpected surge of trust toward her.

While Dory was treating Lexie’s head and helping her recover her memory, Ares silently took out a portable heater, making the icy cave toasty warm.

As for Tumblebeast, after it had eaten its fill, it curled itself into a ball and nestled up against Lexie, quietly keeping her company.

For a moment, the cave was filled with an unprecedented sense of peace and warmth.

It was in this warm, cozy atmosphere that, as Dory finished her work, Lexie opened her eyes.

The moment she did, Lexie knew, every single lost memory had come rushing back.

And just as clearly, she realized she’d been totally played by Gary and Nelson. Gary had called himself her darling, her happy pill, claiming to be the one she loved most.

The other, Nelson, even went so far as to say she was his fiancée, tricking her into going through a bonding ceremony with

him.

If the Grand Justice hadn’t sent her back to the Snow Wolf Clan, things might’ve already been set in stone between her and Nelson.

Just thinking about how she’d been totally messed with while she was out of it made Lexie mad and totally fed up.

I’m so done with this,Lexie thought.

She sighed and rubbed her throbbing head. When she came back to herself, she realized the cave that had been all beatup and falling apart was now neat and organized, thanks to Ares.

Just one look, and the place was spotless.

Seeing all this, Lexie couldn’t help but remember the time they’d been stuck in a cave back on Aeris Planet.

Back then, they’d been trapped too, with a storm raging outside.

But now, with the wind and snow howling outside, Lexie wasn’t scared anymore.

She reached out and stroked Tumblebeast curled up beside her, and couldn’t help but think of Austin.

Thanks to her amnesia, Lexie had totally forgotten about Austin, contacting him hadn’t even crossed her mind.

She picked up her Optic Brain and tried to get in touch with Austin.

But with the blizzard raging outside, her Optic Brain couldn’t get a signal at all.

Figures, no way to call Austin now, Lexie thought, a little frustrated.

Just as Lexie was feeling a bit down about it, Ares’s voice snapped her out of her thoughts

Lex, this beastman of the Snow Wolf Clan is hurt. Do you want to treat him? Ares asked

Treat him? Of course I will, Lexie said, not missing a beat.

As soon as she heard Ares, Lexie pushed her thoughts aside and walked over to Kaelis.
