Just as Dory and Ares were trying to contact the outside, a strange sound echoed from deep within the cave, instantly putting both of them on edge.
As soon as the noise reached them, Dory and Ares exchanged a glance. Ares was the first to get up. He nodded at Dory and started heading deeper into the cave.
Seeing Ares about to leave, Dory quickly called out to him, her voice low and serious.
“Ares, with Lex here, you’d better not poke your nose into things. Put up a barrier and make sure Lex stays safe.
“When the blizzard eases up tomorrow, we’ll get Lex out of here.
“Whatever’s happening in this cave, we’re better off not getting involved,” Dory said.
Ares hesitated for a moment, then nodded at Dory. The next second, he started setting up a barrier around the area of the cave where they were.
‘Dory’s right, Ares thought. ‘With Lex here, my only job is to keep her safe. No point in getting involved in anything else.
Seeing Ares dutifully setting up the protective barrier, Dory stayed right by Lexie’s side, watching over her with unwavering vigilance.
It wasn’t until the noises from inside the cave faded away that Dory finally tried to reach out to the outside world again.
This place wasn’t safe. They needed to get Lexie out of here as soon as possible.
If there was any trouble brewing in the cave, Lexie could get hurt.
But no matter how hard she tried, Dory just couldn’t get through to anyone outside.
Looks like I’ll have to wait a bit longer, Dory thought to herself.
Dory glanced back at Tumblebeast lying next to Lexie. In a place like this, Tumblebeast really didn’t stand a chance at protecting itself.
So, wanting to keep it safe, Dory thought for a moment and decided to stash Tumblebeast inside her spatial button
If they ran into any danger, there was no way Tumblebeast could get away on its own.
Dory said, “Tumblebeast, do you want to hide in the spatial button for a bit? Things are getting risky here, and we might not be able to look out for you
Tumblebeast snuggled up even closer to Lexic, making it clear it didn’t want to Jude in the spatial button,
Seeing this. Dory realized that now Tumblelwat was smart enough she couldhet pas shove it at the spatial tridim
anymore.
“Alright then, Tumblebeast If things get dangerous, you need to look out for yourself okay? Dory and
Tumblebeast just gave her a lock, its face imposside to read
Fine, let it decide for itself, Dory thought. If that’s what it wants, so be it
Seeing Tumblebeast nuzzle up against I exic, Dory ran her hand gently uses in fue then sened back tile Lexie, Leeping

Dory’s eyes were steady and determined. In a place like this, making sure Lexie stayed safe was all that mattered.
Outside, the wind howled and the blizzard raged on, while inside the cave, the silence grew heavier with every passing minute, making the air feel almost suffocating.
By this point, Dory’s nerves were wound tight as a spring. She kept scanning the cave, half–expecting trouble to jump out at iny moment.
But the more they feared something would happen, the more likely it was that trouble would come knocking.
n the middle of the night, while Dory and Ares were keeping watch over Lexie, a deep, rumbling sound suddenly echoed rom the depths of the cave, as if something was just waking up.
The strange noise from deep inside the cave instantly put both Dory and Ares on high alert.
Ares stood guard at the front, while Dory gripped her weapon tightly, her electronic eyes blazing with intensity, locked onto he direction the sound was coming from.
At that moment, Tumblebeast seemed to sense the danger too. It glanced around nervously, but stayed right by Lexie’s side, tanding guard over her, determined not to let anyone get close.
Hearing those creepy sounds coming from deep inside the cave, Dory knew they couldn’t stick around any longer.
Thinking fast, Dory hurried over to Lexie, gently nudged her, trying not to startle her, and whispered urgently.
Lex, wake up. There’s danger,” Dory whispered, her voice tense.
Dory kept trying to wake Lexie up, hoping she’d snap out of it so they could get the hell out of here.
But no matter what Dory did, Lexie just stayed out cold.
Seeing Lexie like this, Dory couldn’t help but be anxious.
Tumblebeast, Ares and I will stay in mecha mode. You carry Lex and bring her into my cockpit. We’ll get you guys out of his hellhole, Dory said.
fearing this, Tumblebeast flipped over and rolled straight onto Kaelis, who was still knocked out cold on the ground.
Are you worried about him?” Dory asked in a gentle voice, seeing what Tumblebeast was doing.
Tumblebeast answered her by rolling over to Kaelis, letting its actions speak for itself.
You want us to take him too? But Tumblebeast, the blizzard out there is brutal. If we try to carry a beastman that site, we’re just asking for trouble when we make our escape.
‘So, we probably can’t take him with us. Dory said
Hearing Dory say that, Tumblebeast didn’t insist any further. Instead, it rolled over to Ares’s sale, as if asking him for help
Seeing Tumblebeast do this, Ares scanned the unconscious Kaelts, then turned to look at Lexie, who was still lying there, u cold
“Dory, this beastman is Lex’s friend. If we don’t take him with us, Lex is going to be pissed.” Ares sall
