The Last True Female (Lexie) (by Sylvia Vance) novel Chapter 33

Chapter 33

Austin muttered, Lex

Seeing Lexie sitting dazed in the treatment pod, completely unsponsive, Austin immediately stepped forward. He reached out, lifted her into his arms, and started walking toward the exit

Passing through the living room, Austin saw Amya standing the frozen. He hesitated for a moment, then spoke in a firm voice. Ms. Reyes, if you cooperate, I can make the remaining month of your life a little more comfortable.

Plus, I have a very good friend, Arthur Cole. He’s a brilliant door. Back when Ms. Graham was still alive, he was the one who took care of her.

Arthur is coming back tomorrow. When he’s here, he might find a way to extend your life a little longer.

With that, Austin didn’t wait for Amya’s reaction. He carried the halfasleep Lexie and walked straight out. On the way back, he ignored the curious glances from others and carried Lexic directly to his room.

By the time Austin reached his room, Arthur had returned from another galaxy. At the sight of Lexie held in Austin’s arms Arthur’s eyes were filled with concern. Austin, what happened to Lex?Arthur asked.

Austin replied, I don’t know. When I found her at Amya’s place, ex was just like thisdazed and spaced out. I don’t k something happened. Arthur, come over and

Check on Lex. See if something’s wrong.

Hearing this, Arthur hurried over to Lexie. Her expression was blank, as if she had seen a ghost. Seeing her like that, Arthur grew worried. He stepped closer and reached for her hand, ready to examine her.

But the moment Arthur touched her hand, Lexie suddenly jerked it back.

Arthur asked, Lex, are you okay?

Snapping back to reality under Arthur’s concern, Lexie felt a bit embarrassed he forced herself to sound calm. II’m fine.

Austin asked, Lex, what did Amya do to you? We tried several times to ask her single time. Tell us. Did Amya do anything to you?”

Hearing the concern in Austin’s voice, Lexie froze for a moment before slowly coming back to herself. She wondered, Marshal Drake is actually worried about me?

As if suddenly recalling something, Lexie gripped Austin’s hand tightly and spoke in a rush, Marshal Drake, Ms. Reyes told me something. She said she was a tool personally trained by her master.

She said she only has one month left to live, and once she dies, her master will use her death to trigger a war and drag everyone down with her.

Marshal Drake, Ms. Reyes’s arrival is part of a carefully designed trap. You have to be careful. Anyone who can set up something like this must be a lunatic.

Ms. Reyes won’t live much longer, so before something happens to her, you must think of a plan. If she really dies here, people will definitely blame you.”

Hearing Lexie’s anxious voice, Austin didn’t respond to that point. He simply tried to soothe her with calm patience, saying, Lex, we already know Ms. Reyes’s situation. She’s an android created by Prince Nelson through genetic replication technology.

We have evidence of how she was artificially made. So, even if Ms. Reyes does die here, we don’t have to worry about the Aetherion Federation coming for us.

After all, this whole thing was a setup from the start. As long as we don’t go after them, we don’t need to worry about them

Hearing that, Lexie just shook her heal. Marshal Drake, Amya didn’t hurt me. I just took a nap there. As for anything else, she didn’t do anything to me. Marshal Drake, I feel so bad for Me Reyes, so-

Austin asked. Lex, are you pleading for Ms. Reyes?

Hearing Austin’s words, Lexie hesitated for a moment before nodding at him earnestly.

Lexic thought. That’s right. Even though I know Ms. Reyes is just someone else’s pawn, she cured my terminal illness. For that alone. I have to plead for her.

Ever since Lexie had fully come to her senses a while ago, feeling her body lighter than it had ever been, she knew clearly that her terminal illness had truly been healed by that treatment pod.

Lexie mused. Whether Amya is a good person or not, my disease got healed because of her. If it weren’t for her, I’d still be suffering from the pain of my illness. So, I have to plead for her.

As for how Austin will handle her in the end, that’s not something I can decide. All I can do now is do my part and I rest to fate.

Seeing the determination in Lexie’s eyes, Austin hesitated for a moment before looking at her and answering with resolve. Lex. Ms. Reyes is just an android created in a lab.

Her body might look identical to a real female’s, but she can’t soothe a beastman’s volatile genes and she can’t cure beastmen’s gene disease.

Those androids don’t even have the ability to bear children. Keeping them alive is a waste. More importantly, Prince Nelson’s intentions behind creating them are evil, so letting these androids exist in this world will only bring trouble.

So, we can’t keep Ms. Reyes. Even if we do, I’d only let her live for another month and let her die naturally. Tomorrow, I’ll reveal the traps Prince Nelson set and settle this problem as soon as possible.

If the Aetherion Federation and the Aetherion Empire really went to war over Ms. Reyes, the casualties would reach hundreds of millions.”

Hearing Austin’s words, Lexie stopped pleading because she understood that if she were in Austin’s position, she would have to set aside personal feelings for the sake of the bigger picture. She thought, ButForget it, there’s no but.

Marshal Drake,Lexie spoke up, after you reveal Prince Nelson’s scheme, can you not hurt Ms. Reyes?

Her life is extremely short. She only has two monthsNo, she only has one month left. Even if her life is that short, I want her to die naturally. So, Marshal Drake, can you spare her?

Hearing her plea, Austin hesitated, then exchanged a glance with Arthur, who gave a small nod. Austin eventually agreed to
