Chapter 44
Seeing how quickly Lexie’s attitude had changed, Lorey shook his head with a sense of helplessness.
He then quickly transferred one billion starcoins to Lexie’s account, stepped aside, and made a gesture of invitation
her.
“Don’t rush me. I’ll go save him right away. But let’s get this straight first: if I fail, you can’t blame me. I’ve already received the money, and I’m not giving it back. Got it?” Lexie said.
“Alright, alright. Hurry up and save him.” Lorey replied.
Seeing that Lexie was about to ramble on again, Lorey helplessly pushed her toward the isolation chamber ahead.
When Lexie was pushed to the isolation chamber, she looked up at the anaconda that was bigger than a mountain and immediately wanted to back out.
Standing in front of the anaconda, she was as tiny as a speck of dust. Fortunately, the giant snake in front of her was unconscious; otherwise, she would have been crushed to pieces long ago.
As Lexie hesitated, staring at the anaconda, a protective mask was placed over her face to prevent her from fainting from the gas inside. Lorey urged, “Hill, hurry up and go in to save him.”
“Can’t I just heal him through the isolation barrier? Lorey, his beast form is really too big–I’m so scared.” Lexie shouted.
“No way. You already took my money. Hill, be brave. We believe in you.” Lorey said.
“But I don’t believe in myself at all. How about I transfer the one billion starcoins back to you now? I’m afraid I’ll money but not live to spend it.” Lexie said.

“Please don’t. I’m begging you. Please save Mr. White.” As Lorey pleaded, he pushed Lexie hard into the glass cage in front of them.
Looking back at Lorey’s eager expression, even though Lexie was extremely unwilling, she had no choice but to walk into the isolation chamber because she had been greedy and taken the one billion starcoins.
She thought, ‘If I had known I’d have to get this close, I wouldn’t have been so greedy.
As soon as she stepped inside, the thick white smoke made it impossible for Lexie to see where she was going. So she had to stretch out her hands and slowly feel her way forward step by step.
When her hands finally touched a wall–like surface, Lexie stopped and reached out to stroke the hard scales in front of her.
But after touching for a long time, she realized she seemed to be only touching one scale. Her healing ability wasn’t doing anything at all.
The beastman named Serenus had such a huge beast form. Even if she worked herself to death, she couldn’t cure his gene disease, especially since it had progressed so quickly.
Lexie thought, ‘Since I can’t cure him, Im.?
as well leave. My life is more important than money!
With that thought, just as Lexie was about to leave, two golden lights suddenly appeared in front of her. She wondered, ‘Are these the anaconda’s eyes?‘
She quickly looked up and met the anaconda’s gaze. At that moment, Lexie saw intense killing intent and a desire to destroy everything in its eyes.
The difference in size, coupled with the surrounding white mist and the anaconda’s cold aura, made Lexie take a few steps

back instinctively in fear.
She regretted her greed deeply. Now it was over as her life would end here.
As Lexie stepped back, the anaconda slowly moved. Its huge head inched closer to her. When it was only one meter from Lexie, it flicked its forked tongue, which brushed directly against her face.
When such a huge mouth opened in front of her, Lexie’s legs went weak, and she collapsed to the ground.
Watching the anaconda’s head get closer and closer, Lexie wanted to scream for help, but she was too scared to make a sound.
She could only lie helplessly on the ground, watching the anaconda’s head approach, then slowly open its mouth and lunge toward her.
“No….” At the critical moment, Lexie instinctively stretched out her hand to block. In her panic, her fingers seemed to touch something sharp, which sliced open a deep cut. In an instant, her blood splattered onto the anaconda’s head.
At that exact moment, just as Lexie thought she was doomed, a transparent wall shielded her completely, keeping her safe.
Before Lexie could react, a smaller mecha crashed through the protective barrier and unleashed a barrage of firepower at the anaconda.
The anaconda clearly hadn’t anticipated such an attack. Caught off guard, its massive body rolled on the ground, letting out deafening roars.
Lexie’s eyes widened as she watched the mecha move nimbly around the anaconda, each attack hitting the snake’s vital points with precision.
As the mecha’s attacks grew more intense, the giant snake finally couldn’t hold on. Its huge body slammed heavily onto the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
When the dust settled, the anaconda lay motionless.
Lexie didn’t know if it was dead or alive, but she knew she was safe now. Only then did she let out a long sigh of relief.
Looking at the mecha that had descended from the sky, her heart was filled with gratitu
She didn’t know who had helped her in secret, or why such a powerful mecha had appeared. But she was truly grateful to the person in front of her for saving her life.
She had never imagined that such a small mecha could have such fierce firepower.
As Lexie stared blankly at the mecha, its hatch opened, and a fluffy raccoon jumped out.
The one piloting the mecha was actually such a small and cute raccoon. She couldn’t believe it.
And what happened next left Lexie even more stunned. As the little raccoon ran quickly toward her, its body transformed
