Chapter 45
Looking at the familiar face in front of her, Lexie, who was still reeling from shock, finally remembered that Arthur’s form was a little raccoon.
She had never imagined that someone as refined as Arthur usually seemed would have such incredible combat ability.
Just now, he had taken down such a huge snake all by himself. Lexie thought he was truly amazing.
As Lexie looked at him with admiration, Arthur walked up to the protective barrier and stared at her anxiously. “Hill, turn off the barrier and let me in. Your finger is bleeding. Let me heal you.”
Hearing Arthur’s words, Lexie looked at the protective barrier that had suddenly appeared to shield her.
This barrier had ejected automatically when she was in danger earlier. It was the one Austin had given her to keep her safe. Staring at it, Lexie studied it for a long time, but she had no idea how to turn it off.
“What should I do? I can’t turn it off.” Lexie said.
Arthur replied, “Hill, listen to me…”
Following Arthur’s instructions, as soon as Lexie turned off the barrier, he stepped forward immediately, took out a medical device, and began treating her finger.
The technological level of this world was extremely advanced. In just a moment, the wound on Lexie’s finger had healed completely.
“Hill, what are you doing here? Serenus‘ beast form is a mutated ancient giant anaconda—his power is too strong,” said Arthur.
“Once his body undergoes sudden regression, he will instinctively attack and destroy everything he sees. You have no self- defense abilities at all. How dare you come here?” Arthur added.
Seeing Lexie hesitate, Arthur glanced around. When he spotted Lorey standing not far aw to Lexie and asked anxiously, “Hill, did this lion ask you to come here to save Serenus?”
guilty, he turned back
“Yes. But I only came because I took his money. Dr. Cole, I received one billion starcoins from Lorey to come in and save him.” Lexie said.
Hearing this, Arthur was lost for words.
Meeting her guilty gaze, Arthur felt angry, and he raised his hand as if to flick her forehead.
Unfortunately, just as he lifted his hand, he saw Lexie shrink back in fear. He reluctantly pulled his hand back, and instead, he patted the dirt off her body.
Lexie slowly opened her eyes, saw Arthur’s annoyed expression, and asked cautiously, “Dr. Cole, are you not angry anymore?”
“Don’t curry favor with me. Stand up.” Arthur said unhappily.
Lexie replied, “Okay.”
After obediently standing up from the ground, Arthur pulled Lexie over to Lorey and pointed directly at his nose.
Arthur said angrily, “Hill, listen carefully. I forbid you to associate with people like him. He has evil intentions. If you make friends with him, he will get you killed sooner or later.”

Chapter 45
Faced with Lorey’s embarrassed expression, Lexie quickly explained, “Wait, Dr. Cole. I only went to s took his money.”
Arthur said, “That’s not the point. I can give you as much money as you want, but you are not allowed to have any re contact with him.”
“He clearly knows how dangerous a beastified ancient giant anaconda is, yet he let you get close to heal that damn
“If I hadn’t arrived in time, you would be dead now. And you’re still defending him? Besides, when you were in danger just now, he didn’t come to help you but hid like a coward instead.”
Hearing Arthur’s words, Lexic and Lorey fell silent. Because Lexie thought Arthur was right. However, she was also to blame for being too greedy.
“Lex, do you understand? You are not allowed to see him again. Got it?” Arthur said to her gently.
“I got it,” Lexie replied.
“Good. Let’s go. From now on, you can set up your stall outside my hospital—you’re not allowed to run around anymore.” Arthur said.
With that, Arthur took Lexie’s hand and started walking back. Just as Lexie followed obediently, a series of exclamations came from behind them.
Following the sound, Lexie saw the ancient giant anaconda that Arthur had defeated earlier slowly shrinking and transforming. Finally, it turned into a naked man.
Lexie instinctively widened her eyes to look, but before she could get a clear view, her eyes were covered by Arthur’s hands.
Lexie said angrily, “Dr. Cole, let go of me. I haven’t seen clearly yet.”
Arthur covered Lexie’s eyes, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, “Lex, as a female, isn’t it shameful to stare at a beastman’s naked body like this?”
“He doesn’t feel ashamed of being naked, so why should I be embarrassed? Besides, it’s a guy’s body.” Lexie said.
“You can’t look. As a female, you need to know how to be reserved. Understand?” Arthur said.
Du to look at a handsome
Listening to Arthur’s gritted teeth, Lexie struggled to pull his hand away from her eyes and said nonchalantly, “I don’t know what ‘reserved‘ means. Dr. Cole, let me take a look.”
Unfortunately, by the time Lexie pulled Arthur’s hand away, she was disappointed to find that the handsome guy who had transformed from the giant anaconda had already put on his pants.
However, his upper body was still bare. The handsome guy had extremely long hair, almost reaching below his waist. Because his hair was so long, Lexie couldn’t see his face or figure clearly. However, this half–hidden, half–revealed look was even more intriguing.
As Lexie stared at Serenus obsessively, he seemed to feel her intense gaze and instinctively looked up at her.
At the moment their eyes met, Lexie clearly saw his face.
He was a handsome guy with a cold expression. His eyes were deep and sharp, as if they could see into people’s hearts.
His facial features perfectly outlined his fortitude and handsomeness.
Although his expression was cold, Lexie somehow felt that deep in his heart, there might be hidden tenderness and passion
that no one knew about.
