After some time had passed, once Lexie had grown accustomed to William’s flying speed, she looked downwards.

At that moment, they had already reached the seaside.

The ocean was a bright azure blue; on the shimmering sea surface, a few seagulls glided past occasionally, stirring up gentle waves.

The sunlight spilled over the sea, as if coating the ocean with a layer of golden radiance, a sight too beautiful to behold.

Wow, it’s so gorgeous,Lexie couldn’t help but exclaim.

She had never seen such a stunning sea view from this perspective before. In an instant, all her fear was replaced by the breathtaking scenery.

How is it? Lex, aren’t you scared anymore?William asked.

Lexie said, I’m not scared now. William, it’s truly gorgeous down here.

Of course it is. I’ve known this place is beautiful for a long time, so I specifically brought you here. Hill, look straight aheadisn’t the view there even more stunning?William said.

It really is. It’s absolutely magnificent,Lexie replied.

Following the direction William indicated, Lexie saw the ocean bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun, as beautiful as a fairy tale.

This place is truly amazing. William, thank you for bringing me here,Lexie said sincerely. She felt incredibly lucky to have met someone as devoted to her as William, a true friend.

As long as you like it. Didn’t you want to collect seashells? I’ll take you right now, said William.

He continued, I know a great spot. On that beach, there are countless beautiful seashells. Besides being lovely, they’re also very large. You’re sure to love them,William said as he flew toward the seaside.

Upon hearing this, Lexie clapped her hands excitedly. Great! Let’s go right now.As she spoke, she tightened. her grip on William’s feathers, fearing she might fall off. After all, he was flying really fast now.

When Lexie arrived at the beach William had mentioned, she was completely stunned.

The vast beach was covered with colorful seashells. They varied in size, color, and shape, shimmering with enchanting light under the setting sun, as if each shell held a magical story.

Lexie jumped down from William’s back excitedly, stepped barefoot onto the soft sand, and began searching carefully through the grains. She was determined to find the most unique and beautiful shell on this beach to take home with her.

Picking up a closed shell at random, Lexie shook it gently. Though she knew nothing about shells, even with her notsosmart brain, she was certain there was probably a pearl inside.

She pulled hard at the shell’s opening, but it wouldn’t budge. So she called out, Liam.

Suddenly hearing Lexie call him Liam, William, who had been quietly watching her collect shells, froze in place. He wasn’t sure why, but there was an inexplicable warmth and softness in his heart at this intimate address from Lexic.

William turned around, looking at Lexie gently with a faint, puzzled smile, as if asking why she had suddenly called him that. It was indeed an overly affectionate name.

Unlike William’s confusion, Lexie was completely focused on prying open the shell in her hands, not noticing William’s reaction at all.

She pulled at the shell again with all her strength, and this time it finally loosened.

The two halves of the shell slowly separated, and a dazzling glow emanated from within. Lexie stared closely and saw a round pearl with a soft luster lying quietly inside.

She let out a surprised cry. Liam, look! There really is a pearl. It’s so big. It must be very valuable. Liam, what are you standing there for? Hurry over and see!

Lexie carefully squeezed the round pearl out of the shell’s flesh, held it in her palm, and showed it off to William. How is it? Isn’t this pearl I found beautiful?

It’s lovely. Do you like these pretty little beads?William took the pearl from Lexie’s hand and asked with a smile.

Of course I do, Liam. Don’t forget my real identity. I’m a femalenaturally, I love these shiny, beautiful pearls,” Lexie said.

Watching how much Lexie cherished that pearl, William seemed to think of something. He handed her a defender, then turned and walked toward the sea.

Liam, where are you going?Lexie asked.

I’m going into the sea. I’ll be back in half an hour. During that time, stay right here and wait for me. Take the defender; if you encounter any danger at all, I’ll return to your side instantly to protect you,William said.

Aren’t you worried someone might hurt me if you leave me here alone?Lexie asked.

This is my territory, and with the defender in your hand, no one dares to harm you. Hill, stay here. I’ll be right back,” William replied.

Lexie said, Alright. Go and come back soon. I’ll wait for you here.”

Seeing how obedient Lexie was, William felt a surge of softness in his heart. Females were so compliant; they would agree to whatever he said. Eagles, on the other hand, were used to agreeing verbally only to go back on their words later.

After gently ruffling Lexie’s hair, William took flight and plunged headfirst into the sea the next second.

Lexie watched the splashing water until the sea surface calmed down again, then slowly came to her senses.

William was clearly an Eagle, yet he could still dive underwater. Lexie thought that if she were an Eagle, she would never dare to do that.

She had been born in the north, and seeing the ocean had always been her wish. But at the same time, her fear of the sea was deeply rooted in her bones.

With William gone, Lexie could only squat on the beach collecting shells and pry pearls out of them.
