Chapter 76
Watching Lexie drag William away in a flash, Serenus found it was obvious she’d been scared by his outburst just now.
Just the thought of it darkened Serenus‘
gaze.
He didn’t want to make a bad impression on her. But today, he really had been too impulsive.
When he saw Harry flexing his muscles in front of her, a surge of jealousy almost made him lose nothing more than to tear Harry apart.
Even though he tried to hold back, he still ended up frightening her.
Serenus let out a long sigh, thinking to himself, ‘I really need to keep a tighter leash on myself!

Back in the dorm, Lexie didn’t mention what had happened earlier, and William and Samuel didn’t ask about it either.
After changing into her uniform, Lexie checked herself out in the mirror.
‘Damn, I look badass,’ she thought.
The uniform was dark green, with gold stars on the epaulets, symbolizing their honor and future.
The pants were crisp and perfectly pressed, giving off a clean and dignified vibe. Lexie nodded in satisfaction. She’d never imagined she’d look so commanding and impressive in uniform
‘If I look this decent, Serenus and Hill must look incredible. I have to see,‘ she thought.
Thinking about it, Lexie couldn’t wait any longer. She yanked open the dorm door and hurried out.
When she saw them in their uniforms, she couldn’t help but think, ‘Okay, never mind. Comparing people is just unfair.
She thought she looked pretty cool in her uniform, but standing next to William and Samuel with their tall, commanding presence, she felt like a sparrow next to two eagles.
They stood side by side, like two oaks, vibrant, strong, full of life
Compared to them, Lexie felt more like a scraggly bush.
She let out a dramatic sigh, her eyes full of envy as she looked at them, then she genuinely praised them.
“William, Samuel, you guys seriously look awesome in uniform, she said.
When Samuel heard her compliment and saw the genuine sparkle in her eyes, he couldn’t help but el his face heat up.
He turned aside to compose himself, then looked back at her with a shy smile. “Hill, you look absolutely stunning, and honestly, kind of adorable, in that uniform.”
“Adorable? Come on, I’d much rather you say I look badass,” Lexie shot back with a playful grin.
“Hill, you really do look badass right now,” Samuel said, his voice full of admiration.
His earnest praise actually made her feel a bit shy, her cheeks warming up.
She was just putting on a tough front, but deep down, she was totally jealous of how good–looking they were.

Honestly, beastmen in this world were all unfairly attractive. Each had their own style, their own kind of hotness. Seriously, not a single one was just ordinary.
Since the day she’d arrived in this world, Lexie hadn’t seen a beastman who was even slightly plain–looking. Not one.
If she hadn’t gotten used to being surrounded by so many hotties, she’d probably be drowning in her own drool by now. Lexie quickly masked her awkwardness, then suddenly remembered something. She grabbed Samuel and dragged him toward her room.
She said, “Samuel, you’re the student council president, so you must know a lot. Can you come tailed fox? I seriously have no clue what’s going on with it.
“Last night it was just this tiny little thing, and now it’s suddenly huge! And it’s been sleeping all n. do, I can’t wake it up. I even ran it through the scanner, but nothing’s wrong.”
heck out my nine-
Hearing her anxious voice, Samuel stepped into her room, but instead of checking out the nine–tailed fox sprawled on the bed, his attention was instantly caught by that amazing fragrance lingering in the air.
Lexie’s room was nothing like theirs. Their rooms were super minimalist–just the bare necessities, nothing extra, no decorations, nothing to make it feel even a little bit homey.
Walking in felt like stepping into a chill, empty space. The air was cold and heavy, and the emptiness was so intense that they almost wanted to curl up and cry from the loneliness.
But Lexie’s room was a whole different story. It felt warm and cozy, like a little slice of home.
The moment he stepped inside, he was hit with this light, fresh floral scent that just melted away any stress he was carrying, making him want to kick back and relax.
The place was simply decorated but super welcoming, with a few cute cartoon prints on the walls that gave the whole room an artsy vibe.
On the windowsill, a few small potted plants sat, their leaves glistening with tiny droplets of water. Clearly, Lexie took great care of them.
The bed was perfectly made, the pink blanket folded neatly, and everything looked so tidy and organized.
Standing in this warm, cozy room, Samuel suddenly felt a bit overwhelmed, unsure where to rest his eyes.
Wow, it smells incredible here, he thought, ‘just like Hill, so nice and fresh.
He honestly never thought a beastman’s room could smell this good.
Before he could settle his thoughts, Lexie tugged at his sleeve and pulled him over to sit on the edge of the bed. She pointed at the sleeping nine–tailed fox and asked anxiously, “Samuel, can you help me figure out what’s wrong with it?
“Did it get into something last night? Is that why it grew so much and now it won’t wake up?
“Seriously, it’s been out for ages. I tried calling him, shaking it–nothing. It’s like it’s in a coma or something.”
Hearing her question, Samuel was still caught up thinking, ‘Wow, his bed is so soft–way softer than I expected for a beastman. It took him a moment to snap back to reality.
As he came to, his gaze immediately landed on the purple nine–tailed fox lying on the bed, sleeping soundly.
When he saw the little fox sprawled out on Lexie’s bed, his first instinct was to toss that shameless furball straight onto the floor.

Man, this bed is insanely soft. Just sitting here for a second, and m already hyped. So why does that damn wild fox get to lounge like royalty on Hill’s bed? Seriously, what gives?‘ Samuel grumbled to himself.
Why should it get all the luck? This is so not fair, he thought, feing totally disgruntled.
With Lexie standing there all nervous, Samuel could only force imself to play it cool. He pulled back the blanket covering the little fox and started to examine it.
When Samuel finally got a good look at the purple nine–tailed fox lying on the bed, his hand froze mid–air.
Is this really just a pet?‘ he thought, feeling a wave of doubt.
Something about this fox felt off. But he couldn’t place why.
“Hill, are you sure this is really just a pet and not actually a beastman?” Samuel asked, his voice full of doubt.
