“As long as Fluffy is still in your hands, I won’t run away. After all, I’m not the kind of master who’d just ditch my own companion,” Lexie said, her tone firm.
“Companion?”
When Lexie said that, the beastman glanced back at Tumblebeast floating on the water.
He hesitated for a moment, then finally released Lexie’s arm and reached out to scoop up the beast.
Once the beastman scooped it out of the water, it lay limply beside Lexie, its eyes tightly shut, clearly still unconscious.
Lexie hurried over and gently stroked its fur, her eyes brimming with worry and care.
‘My Fluffy is just the cutest little ball of fluff! How could he be so heartless to hurt my precious baby?‘ Lexie’s heart ached.
“Is it going to be okay?”
Lexie stared at Tumblebeast lying there, completely still, struggling to even spot its tiny face. The anxiety was eating at her, and she couldn’t help but blurt out the question.
“It’s alright,” the beastman said.
“How can you be so sure it’s fine?”
Lexie couldn’t help blurting out, her anxiety clear in her eyes.
“I’ve got a detector right here. Just scan the beast with it and you’ll see for yourself if it’s hurt or not,” the beastman replied.
Lexie quickly took the detector from him and started scanning her Fluffy, her hands trembling a bit as she worked.
Thank goodness, the beast was just knocked out. Once it woke up, it’d be fine.
Just as Lexie let out a sigh of relief and was about to hand the beast back to the beastman, she suddenly noticed a small symbol on the detector–her eyes widened in shock.
‘Is that…?‘
Even though she was stunned inside, Lexie kept her cool and handed the detector back to the beastman like nothing had happened.
“Hey! My Fluffy’s all good. Here, I’m handing the detector back. You wanted me to heal you, right?
“How about this–let me give my Fluffy a couple shots of nutrient fluid first, then I’ll take care of your injuries, okay?” Lexie said.

Chapter 91
“Sure, that’s fine,” the beastman replied.
:
Seeing Lexie so trusting and unguarded, the beastman of course didn’t mind at all.

Once the beastman agreed, Lexie gave him a sheepish smile, then turned aside to find Tumblebeast’s mouth so she could feed it some nutrient fluid.
But while she was feeding the beast, she hid behind its pudgy body and typed out a few quick commands on her Optic Brain.
Lexie didn’t even care who she messaged—she just fired off a bunch of “Help me!” texts to her Optic Brain contacts, then tucked it away and started patching up the beastman.
Her mind was totally elsewhere, so she couldn’t really focus.
Even so, as soon as Lexie put her hand on his tail, the scales on his face, neck, and chest visibly faded away, disappearing right before their eyes.
When all the scales above his waist were gone, Lexie acted all worn out, let go of his tail, and spoke in a feeble
tone.
“Uh, the beastification on your body is pretty serious. I can’t heal it all in one go,” she said.
“How about we call it a day for now? Just let me rest up for a day, and tomorrow, you wait here–I’ll come back and fix up the rest of your beastified body, sound good?” Lexie suggested.
When Lexie said that, the beastman, who’d just been riding high on his quick recovery, suddenly looked a lot less happy–his face fell.
“Wait, you’re leaving?”
“Well, duh! I’ve already healed half of you. I’m totally wiped out–don’t I get to rest for a bit?
“How about this–tomorrow, same time, same place. You wait here, and I’ll come back to finish patching up your tail, alright?”
His eyes turned icy–clearly, he didn’t like that plan.
But just as he was about to say something, Tumblebeast, which had been out cold, suddenly woke up.
As soon as it came to, before the beastman could even react, it grabbed Lexie and bolted–one second they were there, the next, they were gone.
The beast’s sudden burst of speed left the beastman frozen in shock. When he finally came to, his gaze was cold and sinister, like a blade of ice.
‘Damn that Tumblebeast! I should’ve finished it off with my tail when I had the chance. If I had, that little beastman with healing powers wouldn’t have slipped away, the beastman cursed to himself.
But…

He glanced down at his hand, noticing a smear of blood on his fingertip. When he’d grabbed Hill’s ankle earlier, he’d accidentally scratched the skin and picked up some of his blood.
He hadn’t paid attention before, but now…
He lifted his finger to his nose, and immediately, a sweet, alluring aroma hit him, filling his nostrils in an
instant.
‘Wait a second… that’s the scent of a female.
‘Wasn’t Hill supposed to be just a beastman? So why does his blood have that sweet, unmistakable female
scent?
‘Could it be that Hill isn’t a beastman at all, but actually an artificial female bot?
‘But that can’t be right–artificial female bots don’t have blood that smells this good, or a scent this tempting.
Lost in his confusion, the beastman stuck out his tongue and licked the drop of blood clean from his finger.
As that single drop slid down his throat and into his stomach, his body–still in its half–beast state–began to shift and transform right there in the water.
In the blink of an eye, his scaly tail and the claws sprouting from his waist disappeared.
Now, he had a pair of legs–just like a regular beastman.
The gene disease that had plagued him for ages was wiped out in an instant—all because of a single drop of blood.
Only a true female could pull off healing like that.
So Hill wasn’t a beastman, and definitely not some artificial female bot–she was the real deal, a true female.
‘A female? Could there really be any females left in this world?
‘If the one who just escaped is actually a real female, does that mean I don’t have to worry about my gene disease coming back?
‘And even better, no matter how much stronger I get, I won’t have to be afraid of dying young anymore?‘
Just imagining it, the beastman’s eyes were wild with craze and determination.
Now he finally had a shot at living–and that shot was the little female who’d just slipped away.
‘She’s mine. No matter what,‘ he told himself, obsession burning in his eyes.
Making up his mind, the beastman ripped off his realistic mask, revealing a face that was all too familiar.
It was Nelson Murphy, the crown prince of the Aetherion Federation.
