Serena and Nathaniel’s Wedding.
The lights dimmed.
The crystals within the venue began to glow, each one catching the light in deep sapphire hues.
A soft mist rose near the grand doors, and from where Nathaniel stood at the altar, he saw every head turn toward the entrance.
This was it.
The day had finally come.
And no one felt it more than him, Nathaniel Thorne.
This was not just a wedding.
This was his second chance at love… with Serena.
He had waited more than four years for this moment, and now that it was here, his heart refused to stay steady.
It pounded relentlessly, as if afraid this could still be taken from him.
Too many memories. Too many mistakes. Too much time lost.
His children had grown up for more than three years without knowing him.
And yet… Serena still chose him, and his children loved him.
Emotion rose in his chest, overwhelming and unrestrained.
While everything inside him was running wild, a gentle melody filled the hall, beginning with the piano before the guitar joined in. At the same time, the double doors slowly opened.
By the time the vocalist sang the lyrics, Nathaniel could see Serena, walking slowly with her head held high.
“~ For just the chance to win your heart
You could set the bar beyond the stars
I'll do anything, anything you ask me to ~”
Nathaniel’s vision blurred as his eyes filled, the tears he had long held back finally breaking free. The song carved into his heart because just like the lyrics, he would risk it all for Serena, the woman who got away.
It was a song by Bruno Mars, “I’d Risk It All.”
Serena looked beautiful.
She stood in a diamond-white gown that fit her closely, the mermaid cut shaping her figure before falling into a soft train.
The top of the dress was smooth and structured, with no embellishment, keeping the look clean and refined.
The neckline was left bare, allowing the sapphire necklace to stand out against the white.
From the hips down, the fabric was detailed with fine embroidery that caught the light, fading softly into layers of tulle.
Nathaniel could not take his eyes off her.
Despite their new baby growing inside her, she still looked stunning, especially with her hair up.
~ “I would swim across the sea just to show you
Sacrifice my life just to hold you
I could go on and on
To prove that you belong here in my arms” ~
Serena stood out, glowing within the enchanted venue.
Nathaniel and Serena had chosen to have a Frozen Sapphire Bloom wedding.
Around the ballroom, crystal pillars rose like frozen sentinels, while white blooms threaded with sapphire shimmered under a soft blue glow.
