Chapter 75: Bianca’s Apology
Blanca’s Apology.
When Bianca learned that Serena had returned to Velmon, she felt conflicted, but a large part of hier was relieved.
Having seen het son distance himself from her and bury himself in work, she realized that pushing Serena away had been completely wrong.
Bianca loved her son deeply. She would do anything for him. So if Serena was the answer, she was willing to make things right.
However, Nathaniel later shared that Serena was married and already had a child, a daughter, to be exact.
Two days ago, when Nathaniel contacted her, Bianca thought, ‘If Nathan and Serena were still together, she would probably already have given me grandchildren.’
That wasn’t the only surprise. Serena was connected to the Vander Nathaniel said she might have married Silas Vander, the CEO of VanderMed Technologies.
A question arose in Bianca’s mind. ‘If Serena was now part of the Vander family, why had they approved selling a unit of their Vanguard Technology to us?”
Yet it also explained why, at first, the Vanders had refused to sell them a unit. It was only after Nathaniel and Bianca sent a formal letter of request to VanderMed Technologies that the sale was finally approved.
More than that, it explained why the Vanders never accepted any of their invitations.
It was because of Serena.
When Bianca requested to speak with Serena, she further learned that her former daughter-in-law had a son.
She had twins.
Regret filled her heart once more.
Serena had achieved everything Bianca once wanted for Nathaniel – a family and children. The Vanders were very lucky.
Unfortunately, Serena’s son had an emergency. Bianca didn’t want to press. She decided she would speak to Serena after her son was out of the hospital.
However, to her surprise, Serena appeared at her door at dawn.
At first, Bianca was irritated that the maids had woken her so early. But when she learned it was Serena asking for Nathaniel, she rushed out.
The sight of Serena stunned her.
She looked so beautiful. Her angelic face reflected a confidence that left no room for doubt.
But then again, Serena always had been beautiful.
“I’m sorry to come so early, Bianca. I wouldn’t have come if it wasn’t an emergency,” Serena said. “Can I speak to Nathan?”
“Is it because of your son? Do you need help?” Bianca asked.
The concern in Bianca’s voice dazed Serena. She swallowed and confirmed, “Yes. It’s about my son. I… I need Nathan’s help.”
“Serena, Nathan doesn’t live with me,” Bianca revealed.
Serena frowned inwardly. ‘Didn’t Nathaniel say he never married Vanessa? So did that mean he bought his

own place?’
“He’s been living in your marital home for four years,” Bianca replied.

Serena blinked. What did she just say?!
“How is that possible?” she asked, her eyes fluttering in disbeliet
There are things you probably need to talk through with Nathan Blanca said. “You can find him there. But before that-
She reached for Serena’s hand.
Serena instinctively retreated, but Bianca stepped forward and gently held her hand, placing her other hand over it. “Serena, did you approve granting us one unit of Vanguard?”
There was no point denying it now, Serena answered, “Yes. I did. read your letter.”
Bianca burst into tears. Her shoulders shook as she said, “God… I’m so sorry.”
Holding Serena’s shoulders, Bianca continued, “Despite what I did to you, and everything I said in the past, you still chose to help us.”
“I didn’t want to hate anymore,” Serena said quietly. “I was in a better place. When I created Vanguard, my vision was to save lives. I knew helping was the right thing to do.”
Serena’s words left Bianca staring at her in silence. “You-you started Vanguard?”
“I’m the head researcher for Vanguard,” Serena said. “But listen, Bianca. This isn’t a good time for me. I need to find Nathan-”
“Of course,” Bianca said, wiping her tears. Then she reached for Serena again. “But please, let me say this.”
“I’m sorry for everything,” she apologized, her eyes fixed on Serena.
“Back then, I believed I didn’t have much time left,” Bianca said. “In my fear, I used my illness as a dying wish. I pressured Nathaniel into leaving you. And when he didn’t fully comply, I threatened to use Victor’s recording against you. I don’t know if Nathan has already told you, but Victor had a recording that suggested you knew about his stolen patents.”
“In the end, I left him with no real choice,” Bianca continued, lowering her gaze. “If that recording had surfaced, it could have dragged you into something devastating.”
Of course, Serena understood. At worst, she could have ended up in jail like Victor or become a target of his enemies. At the time, Victor’s rivals had grown bold because Nathaniel had sent him to prison.
“I failed you,” Bianca whispered, shocking Serena further. “As a woman. As a mother. I don’t expect forgiveness. I know I don’t deserve it. But if there is any way to make this right, I would spend the rest of my life trying.”
“Thank you for selling us a Vanguard unit,” Bianca added softly. “For giving me a chance at life. And for giving me more time with my son.” 1
“I wish I had more time with you.” Bianca hesitated, then said gently, “But go now. Find Nathan.”
Serena was still dumbfounded. This woman was no longer the Bianca she had known four years ago.
Serena wanted to say something, but she couldn’t.
