Winston ran a building materials business on the outskirts of The Metropolis. He had some spare cash, a massive lecherous streak, and loved playing around with pretty, young women.
Relying on her surgically altered face and submissive tactics, she successfully climbed into his bed.
One night, in a dimly lit, lavish private club room, a half-drunk Winston wrapped his arms around Janie and complained about not finding any fresh entertainment lately.
Resting against his chest, which reeked of smoke and alcohol, the image of Nora's aloof, stoic face flashed through Janie's mind.
The seed of hatred that had been festering in the dark immediately sprouted.
She told Winston about a woman who wasn't necessarily a breathtaking beauty, but was a bona fide heiress and the nominal wife of the Hayes Group's CEO—Nora.
Using every trick in the book, she egged Winston on to make a move on Nora, urging him to get a taste of what the high-and-mighty Mrs. Hayes was really like.
Winston's lust was instantly ignited, but he was also terrified of Gideon's ruthless methods and hesitated.
So, Janie masterminded the whole thing from the sidelines, arranging the perfect escape route.
She promised him that Gideon didn't love Nora at all, and that the entire Hayes family despised her.
Furthermore, Gideon's adopted sister, Giselle, hated Nora to the core; the two were like fire and water.
If anything went wrong, they could just dump all the dirty water onto Giselle and claim she ordered it.
Given Giselle's spoiled and arrogant nature, Nora would absolutely believe it.
The Hayes family, desperate to protect their reputation, would suppress the scandal at all costs. Winston would not only get the girl, but he'd walk away completely untouched.
Under Janie's relentless instigation, the lust-driven Winston eventually let his desires take over. Convinced by the flawless plan, he targeted Nora at a banquet and orchestrated the plot to drug her.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Love I Begged For Was Never Real
Storyline is good..but author is wasting time on character's thoughts.why r u streching chapters it's really really boring and annoying.conversation between them childish.she is only saying him get out n what right do u have ..not telling him what he did to her not questioning him..demanding answer. And what happened to him why sudden change of heart care to explain author.....
For the past few chapters either she is sick or he is. It is slightly boring. Author pls let them talk about the issues , she is not at all scolding him.. every scoldings are playing in her mind only. We want some talk between them....
I am also thinking the same....
Has he mistaken Nora as Giselle?...
What happened to him🤔 did he forget everything?...
Hey can u also upload the book " woke up married to my cheating ex"....
Does he know the orphan girl is actually Nora?...
So is he trying to justify everything? At wat rite??? Wer were he wen she needed him the most.......
Haha finally going to see redemption...
I don’t think reborn will happen in this novel. It will be full of her blood only. Actually The title should be changed to only Nora’s suffering instead the love I begged was never real....
