The Love I Begged For Was Never Real novel Chapter 480

Gideon's arms remained locked around Nora's waist. His hands trembled violently, and the freezing aura radiating from him mixed with the metallic scent of blood oozing from his lower lip, invading her senses.

Nora kept her eyes closed, simply letting his blood-tinged body heat press against the side of her neck.

She spoke with a dry, icy tone.

"Let go, Gideon."

Hearing her words, the body holding her stiffened completely.

"No."

Instead of obeying her and letting go, he tightened his grip, pulling her even closer.

The tiny gap between them vanished as their bodies pressed seamlessly together.

His voice was impossibly raspy, laced with a shocking amount of hoarseness and surrender, murmuring frantically against her ear.

"I'll listen to you from now on. As long as you don't leave, I'll listen to whatever you say."

His chin dug into the side of her neck, his warm, erratic breaths brushing against her skin.

"Stay, please? Whatever you want, I'll give it to you. Stop running. It's so cold outside, you'll be scared by yourself."

That warm breath dusting her collarbone carried a desperate, subservient pleading.

Trapped in his embrace, listening to these tender words whispered right by her ear, Nora felt a bone-deep chill rise from her very marrow, making her scalp go completely numb.

*It's cold outside, she'll be scared by herself.*
