The familiar voice made Audrey snap her head up.
At the entrance to the set, Miles Foster stood tall, leaning slightly on his sleek cane. Behind him, two massive bodyguards were dragging a pale, terrified Leona Quinn into the light.
As the crew watched in stunned silence, Miles stopped in front of the officers. "This is Miss Rainey's agent, Leona Quinn. I believe you're looking for her."
"Miss Rainey, please help me!" Leona shrieked, struggling against the bodyguards. "I don't want to go to jail!"
Rainey's face tightened. The evidence of the razor blades was undeniable. If she tried to defend Leona now, she would go down with her.
She marched up to Leona. *Smack!* She slapped her agent so hard the sound echoed off the lights.
"The very first day you started working for me, I warned you!" Rainey screamed, putting on the performance of a lifetime. "I told you never to use those dirty, underhanded tactics you used on your old clients! How dare you do this under my nose!"
She glared with self-righteous fury. "You're fired!"
Leona's eyes bulged in shock. It took a second for the betrayal to register. "Rainey Sinclair! Everything I did was on your orders! The online rumors, the razor blades, it was all—"
"Shut up!" Rainey hissed, slapping her again, twice.
Leona's cheeks swelled instantly, cutting off her words. Rainey raised her hand for another strike, but the police stepped in.
"That's enough, Miss. We're taking the suspect into custody."
Seeing that Leona was effectively silenced, Rainey exhaled a shaky breath. "Thank you, officers. Do what you must."
The police hauled Leona away. The set descended into a heavy silence.
