your son too,” I tell him, kissing him softly before he moves me off of his lap, carefully putting me on the shirt that he was sitting on.

Jacqueline is the last to wake, jolting up out of her sleep.

“I’m glad to see you were able to go back to sleep,” Lucas says to her. –

As we walk away, I make sure that Jacqueline is doing okay.
