“The doctor says I’m healing well, and Adira is strong enough that she‘ s started speaking again,” I announce for those around us to hear. I know the news will spread like wildfire, making the pack feel even more secure. Those around me let me know how happy they are for me while taking a moment to coo over Rory.

We’re just about to head to Robin’s office when Jacqueline walks up.

“Nikki! Reese says that Adira is coming forward!” she says.
