She nods and looks at all of us. “I’m not sure what you know about what happened, but Alexandra, Alex as we call her, was supposed to run with me and Tam. When we knew we were caught, she sacrificed herself for us. I know we’re not Alphas, but as Betas, it didn’t and still doesn’t sit well with us that our Alpha female, our friend, is possibly stuck in some horrible mate bond, or if not, in some terrible situation with her family, while we’re here, with our loving mate, pregnant, and happy.
