“Good for you,” I say before I consciously think about it. “Sorry. I know it must be hard for you, but you were meant to be an Alpha. You’re good at it. Being a Luna isn’t the same. You shouldn’t give that up if that’s not what you want. Since the opportunity for the roles to be reversed is there I’d say that Alpha Calvin isn’t willing to give up his title to be your second in command either.”

“No, he’s not. But apparently his pack is struggling without me there as the glue holding them together,” she says.

“That should make him appreciate you more,” Letti says.
