Chapter 470
I’m listening to Luna Allison, but I can smell my mate. Xavier, my wolf, stands up in my head, wagging his tail excitedly as he smells Amelia’s soft plumeria scent. I can also smell my daughter’s soft floral scent, and want to see her too, but I NEED to see my mate.
I drop my duffel on the back patio as I spot my mate. I watch her sparring with Hunter. She’s good, really good. He’s better, but I can tell that he’s drawing her out and pushing her to spar harder. It should be me doing that for her, not her sister’s mate.
I see the moment she catches my scent, and she stops, stepping back. Hunter immediately steps back as well as she turns to me.
“Calvin? What…” I don’t let her finish. I walk straight up to her and pull her into my arms, taking her mouth in the most dominant, passionate kiss I’ve ever shared with her. I feel her tense in my arms, but I don’t stop, needing to smell her, taste her, and be close to her again.
Slowly, I feel her body begin to relax as she gives me the submission that I’m demanding, gives in to our bond and the love that we have for each other. It may not be what the others have, but I love this woman, deeply.
When I finally pull back, I look at her. “Good morning, Amelia.”
Her eyes are glassy, her lips puffy from the kiss. She searches my face and obviously doesn’t like what she sees there.
“What’s happened, Calvin?”
“It’s a long story and it’s the reason that I’m late getting here,” I say, looking around. The Alphas and Lunas have stopped sparring. I tuck

Amelia against my side, keeping my arm wrapped tightly around her as! address the others.
“I apologize for my tardiness. My Beta decided to challenge me for my pack, and I needed to handle that.” I hear Amelia gasp beside me, and I smile sadly at her. “Jack was turning the pack against me. I had no choice but to kill him in the battle.”
I tell her and the others about challenging the other pack members and bringing on a new Beta.
“You’ve had a very busy weekend, Calvin. Why don’t you come inside and have some breakfast. We can get you caught up on what you’ve missed.”
I nod and look at Amelia. “Will you join me?”
“Of course, Calvin. Let me get Athena.’
“I’ll get her,” I say, turning to where I can smell her. She and the other pups are with Letti, Tiffany, and Tammi who are sitting out. I’m not surprised to see Sophie sparring. Even pregnant with their first pup, she insisted on sparring until she couldn’t any longer. I never wanted Amelia sparring when she was pregnant, but … maybe I should have let her decide that.

say hello to the other Lunas, then smile at my little girl. I’m terrified of hurting her, but I’m also desperate to hold her.
“Here, Calvin. Let me help you,” Amelia says softly, coming over to put Athena into my arms.
“She’s getting bigger,” I say, smiling at my little girl.
“That she is. Dr. Caspian says I need to start adding formula with a little

baby cereal into her diet because my breast milk isn’t enough for her anymore.”
“Maybe I can spend some time feeding you while I’m here, Athena What do you think?” I ask, looking up at Amelia.
“I think she’d like that. Calvin.”
I smile, feeling everything in me relax, everything settle, now that I’m with my mate and daughter again.
“Come on, let’s go get some breakfast. Your daughter needs to eat, and we covered a lot of ground yesterday, so there’s a lot to get you caught up on.”
I lean forward, kissing Amelia again, because I can.
