He grabs my arm and lifts it in the air as everyone around me begins to cheer.

It slowly starts to sink in. I won. I won. I FUCKING WON!

“Thank you for not letting me down, Alpha,” Luna Nikki says, stressing my title.

I’m suddenly flooded with people congratulating me. Luna Nikki shoves a bottle of water into my hand and then some food, while I talk to everyone. Eventually everyone begins to pack up and start heading back to their packs, leaving me to look around.

“How does it feel, Alpha, to know that all of this is yours?” Luna Nikki asks me.

I turn and see her and Alpha Robin watching me.

“Exciting and terrifying all at once. Does that make sense.

“It makes perfect sense,” Alpha Robin says. “And you know that we’ll help you with anything that you need.”

“Thank you, Alpha!” I say.

“Call me Robin, Reese. We’re equals now.”

“That will take a minute to get used to.” I say, swiping my hand through my sticky hair.

“Why don’t you take some time, absorb all of this, then come join us for dinner. We’ll make a plan to move your things over and you can talk to Ezra and Margot about the pack members who are interested in moving.”

“Thanks. I’ll do that.”

He nods and then leads Luna Nikki back over to their pack lands.

I turn and look at the area around me. The ground is crushed where the competitions took place and there’s some clean–up to do, but as I walk into the packhouse, I stop and look around.

All of this is mine. I’m an Alpha now.

I watch as the battle is called and it takes a moment, but then the winner is announced. I’m not sure what made him the winner. Maybe the other guy conceded.

But throughout the entire thing, I’ve watched her. Jacqueline. She’d been cheering for one of the guys, the guy who ended up losing. When they were done, he’d walked up to her, taken her in his arms and

kissed her. More surprising to me was that she threw her arms around

him and kissed him back.

“Who the fuck is he?” Cash growls as I snarl, watching as the kiss

goes on and on.

“He’s the guy I’m going to kill to take back what’s mine.”

“He’s apparently her mate,” a voice says from below us. We’ve been in the trees, keeping our distance. I recognized several of the Alphas that attacked us while we were chasing my future mate, so we’ve been careful to keep our distance.

“Who the fuck are you?” Cash says, leaping out of the tree at the same time I do.

I frown. Nothing that he’s saying makes sense. “If she’s a Luna, how is she also an Alpha?” Cash asks, wondering the same thing I am.
