The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 211

Chapter 211

–Draven–

I dismissed Rylan with a shake of my head, but the moment he left, the walls seemed too tight around me.

Liora, my mate and Luna.

The woman I defended, protected and chose over Kaia.

I didn’t imagine she would do this to me, not in my wildest imagination.

And now, the rogues swore she paid them to lie against Kaia and frame her for something she didn’t do.

Liora carefully planned to remove Kaia from my life, and she did it with the help of these rogues, who testified against Kaia in court.

After that, she helped them escape to keep her secret hidden forever.

My jaw clenched so hard it ached.

I shouldn’t have believed them when they testified against Kata.

The memory of that night flashed in my mind, and my chest hurt painfully as if someone had punched me in the guts.

I remember Kaia’s face when I rejected her. She was broken and terrified

I dragged a hand through my hair, pacing my office, trying to take my wolf, who was howling like a caged beast trying to break free.

I tried to contain him, but he angrily drifted away from me, blaming me for what happened, and I wouldn’t fault him.

I wish I had listened to him when he said Kaia was innocent and that I was making a rash decision.

No matter how much I tried to deny it, the truth was in front of me. I couldn’t claim Liora was guilty, and I couldn’t say the rogues were lying.

While I was beating myself up, a knock came at the door.

“Alpha?” Rylan again.

“What?” I snapped.

“The rogue…

We found something.” His throat bobbed. “You should see this.”

I followed him to the northern border facility.

The interrogation room was now empty, sanitised, but the scent lingered.

Rylan handed me a folder.

“This was found in the belongings of one of the rogues.”

I flipped it open and froze.

Chapter 211

Inside was a sealed envelope with Liora’s crest pressed into the wax.

My stomach dropped Rylan watched me carefully.

“Do you believe us now?” one of the rogues said. “We kept it for a time like this”

I didn’t answer Instead, I tore open the envelope.

A list fell out. And inside, there were names, dates, and coordinations.

“Deliver the testimony. Make sure the Luna cannot return”

My vision went red around the corner

“Alpha…” Rylan murmured. “This wasn’t just a smear attempt. This was targeted. And-

“And she used me.” I said quietly

The words tasted like poison in my mouth, but it was the truth.

Rylan lowered his head. “What will you do

I closed the folder slowly, my head pounding with regret.

“We will find Kaia,” I said. My voice was ice. “And when we do, I will deal with Liora.”

Rylan nodded stiffly. “Alpha Theo contacted us carlier, but –

“Get me on the line, I have to speak to him right now.” I interrupted.

He hesitated. “Alpha-Theo blames you, who knows if he wants to hear you out at all?”

“I don’t care,” I said, and I meant it

Theo has every right to be angry with me, and I will bear his anger, no matter how intense it is. What matters right now is finding Kaia.

“She is missing because of me,” I said, my voice becoming hoarse. “If she dies out there, I will never forgive myself.”

Rylan swallowed hard.

“Then let’s find her,” he said.

I turned toward the window, staring out at the forest stretching beyond the borders.

A storm was building, and we still had no idea where Kaia was, which scared me to death.

“I’m coming for you, Kaia,” I whispered. “And I swear on my Alpha’s mark-nothing in this world will stop me again”

Before I could call him, I saw a call from Theo instead.

The moment Theo’s name flashed on my screen, a weight settled in my chest

Something told me this wasn’t going to be good news.

“Theo?” I answered immediately.

Chapter 211

His voice came through rough and exhausted.

“Draven we have a situation”

My spine stiffened. “What happened”

There was a beat of silence-a rare hesitation from Alpha Theo

“Alpha Mathew’s daughter was taken.” Theo finally said, and I froze

“Taken? By who?” I was taken aback. “Another daughter again

Theo exhaled sharply The same terror group that hit the Deep Fast packs. Tarick’s people, we just got confirmation”

I dragged a hand over my face. “Damn it, how long have they had her

“Years, apparently.” Theo said. “Remember the daughter Alpha Mathew lost a few years ago? Tarick Moss called to tell him that he had her and she was alive

Everything inside me went still.

I remember when my father told me about the missing girl years ago

Turned out, the terror group took her and now the same group that had Kala

My stomach sank

“So they’re holding two people.” I muttered. “The daughter and Kaia”

Theo didn’t respond, and the silence said everything.

They still didn’t know for sure how many people the terror group had.

He cleared his throat. “We have a lead. Finally. Zane and Lucien are coming with me to check it out”

My head snapped up “Lucien?”

That name was a punch to the ribs, and why would he reach out to Thep?

“Yes.” Theo said flatly. “Lucien.”

I almost laughed. “You’re kidding, right? The same Lucien who would rather claw your throat out than breathe the same air with you? That same Lucien?”

“He found evidence.” Theo said. “From the Deep East attack site. Something we missed. The terror group has a secondary route, a hidden chain of tunnels.”

“So he decided to help?” I asked slowly. “Just like that?”

Theo scoffed. “No. He apologised first, and he’s trying to mend our relationship”

I choked. “He did what?”

“He apologised. Theo breathed. For everything”

I leaned back, stunned.

Lucien Ashford was too much of an arsehole to apologise to anyone, and to swallow his pride and apologise to Theo’

Surely, he has something up his sleeve.

“What the hell is going on over there?” I breathed.

Theo ignored the question. The point is, we’re going after the lead. We might finally track down where they’re keeping Alpha Mathew’s daughter and Kaia.”

My jaw tightened I’m coming

“No.” Theo’s tone sharpened instantly “Draven, stay where you are.”

“But Theo, you might use my help Please let me do this”

“We need someone here checking the outer territories Someone who isn’t compromised, and who can think straight.”

“And you think I can-?” I began.

“Draven.” Theo’s voice softened, just slightly. “You’re the only one I trust enough not to run blindly into hell for Kaia.”

My chest tightened when he said that, and I probably deserve it for how I treated Kaia.

I wouldn’t blame him for not trusting me

I swallowed. “Fine. I’ll stay. But the moment you get coordinates, you call me.”

Theo exhaled in relief. “Good. We move in one hour”

I hesitated, then asked the question, clawing at my insides

“Theo… do you think the girl, Alpha Mathew’s daughter, could still be alive?”

“I think we’re out of time if we don’t move now.” Theo’s answer was immediate.

Then the call ended. Leaving me with a sickening twist in my gut.

I turned back and saw a folder Rylan got from one of our trusted spies.
