The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 1045

Callahan silently swiped the screen, page by page, revealing an avalanche of damning evidence.

The final nail in the coffin was the complete transaction history between Fitch and The Silver Mask's offshore accounts.

Fitch was dripping with a cold, sickly sweat. He began to tremble violently. Every last shred of hope was pulverized into dust.

"No... this isn't..."

His voice barely registered above a whisper. He opened his mouth to formulate another lie, another excuse, but confronted with such absolute, irrefutable truth, any words felt utterly pointless.

Callahan and Leilani didn't spare him another glance. They turned their backs on the broken man and walked out of the room. As the door swung open, Fitch faintly heard Callahan say, "Captain Watson. He's all yours."

The heavy metal door clicked shut, sealing Fitch inside with nothing but the sound of his own ragged, despairing breaths. He sat completely paralyzed in the chair, his chest heaving, his vacant eyes locked onto the blank wall.

Minutes bled into what felt like hours. Finally, the door opened again.

This time, Captain Watson and Sean were accompanied by two stern-faced investigators in different uniforms.

Captain Watson looked down at the shell-shocked executive. "Fitch Sherwood," he said plainly. "We have verified the evidence provided by Mr. Langley. The Economic Crime Investigation Division will now take over your formal interrogation regarding multiple charges of corporate fraud and embezzlement."

Fitch didn't move. He didn't even blink.

Meanwhile, at the far end of the precinct hallway, Callahan and Leilani lingered by a large window.

Leilani leaned against the cool glass, her head bowed slightly. The sheer exhaustion was evident in her pale complexion, but her eyes were remarkably clear. Callahan stood protectively beside her, silently watching the gray sky overhead.

"Is it over?" she asked softly, her voice raspy.
