Milford paused, looking at his sister. "Have you... heard anything from Judie or anyone else recently? Did Dad show any weird signs?"
Yvonne forced herself to breathe. She shook her head. "No, Judie's been buried in her graduation project, and I've barely paid attention to anything at the old estate. But I can call her and ask."
As a daughter of the Fulton family, Judie naturally had access to wider circles of gossip and insider information. Yvonne quickly dialed her number and put it on speaker.
Judie's bright voice came through. "Yvonne! What's up? Why the sudden call?"
"Hey. Listen... have you heard any rumors about my dad's company recently? Anything at all?"
Judie sounded genuinely confused. "Mr. Sherwood? No, nothing. Did something happen?"
Yvonne glanced at her brother and pressed on. "What about... Tamara? Have you seen her or heard anything about her?"
Judie's tone instantly soured with disgust. "Her? I avoid her like the plague! Why? Did she do something crazy again?"
Milford shook his head, signaling for Yvonne to drop it. Clearly, Judie was completely out of the loop.
After hanging up, Yvonne looked at him with panicked eyes. "What do we do now?"
