Chapter 117
Chapter 117
After Lucian posted, he glanced at his account balance. It was down to just two digits. He quietly sent Arthur a message on WhatsApp.
Lucian: Bro, can you lend me a million?]
Arthur, who was at work, suddenly got Lucian’s message.
What does this little brat need that much money for all of a sudden? Arthur wondered.
He immediately called Lucian, and Lucian briefly explained the whole betting thing going on in the school forum.
Arthur’s voice turned cold. “Are you kidding me? How childish.”
With that, he hung up and told his secretary, “Send two million to Lucian from my personal account.”
“Sure, Mr. Scott. What should I put for the transaction description?” the secretary asked.
“Betting,” Arthur replied.
The secretary was speechless.
‘Betting? Seriously?’ the secretary thought, totally baffled.
Wait, is Mr. Scott actually gambling now?’ she wondered.
‘Isn’t he the one who hates gambling the most?’ she thought.
‘Didn’t he always say gamblers never end up with anything good?’ she mused.
Class 1, Grade 1.
Lucian was still pissed after Arthur hung up on him. He was wracking his brain, wondering who else he could hit up for cash, when suddenly a notification popped up, a two-million-dollar transfer.
Lucian: ‘What the-?’
When he saw it was from Arthur, he grumbled, “Didn’t he just say this was childish? So why’d he still send the money?”
Whatever. He turned back to the forum and threw in another million, betting Hannah would actually ace the test this time.
“Hale, Lucian just dropped two million betting his sister’s actually gonna take the test seriously,” one of his guys blurted out as soon as he got the news.
Hale checked the forum and saw he’d been dethroned as the top bettor. Lucian had snatched his spot. ‘No way am I letting him steal my thunder,’ Hale thought, annoyed.
So he threw in another 1.5 million each, betting on her either handing in a blank or just scribbling random stuff.
He was convinced the outcome would be one of those two, so either way, he wouldn’t lose a dime. Honestly, he was just messing with Lucian at this point.
When Lucian saw Hale had upped the ante, he immediately called Arthur.
“Two million’s not enough, I need another two million,” Lucian said.
Arthur hung up without a second thought, then called his secretary over. “Send another two million to Lucian,” he said.

Chapter 117
The secretary asked, “Sure, Mr. Scott. What should I put for the transaction description?”
“Betting.” Arthur replied.
The secretary paused, then asked, “Mr. Scott, what kind of bet is this? Are you sure you’re not getting scammed?
Arthur cut her off. “Just transfer the money.”
Ten minutes later, Arthur hung up and called his secretary in again. “Send another five million to Lucian. Betting”
The secretary was speechless.
Her mind was racing: ‘Is Mr. Scott really not falling for some gambling scam?’
“Um, Mr. Scott…” the secretary hesitated, clearly worried.
“Just do the transfer,” Arthur snapped.
“But your personal account doesn’t even have five million left…” she pointed out.
Arthur paused for a moment.
“How much is left?” Arthur asked.
“Just one million left,” she said.
Arthur lost for words.
‘Wait, when did I get this poor?’ Arthur thought.

Lucian took the full five million Arthur had sent and bet it all on the forum. Then he sent Hannah a message on WhatsApp.
Lucian: [If you don’t take this exam seriously, you’ll really be letting me down!]
After finishing the exam, Hannah went straight to the lab to experiment with some herbs. Suddenly, she saw Lucian’s message pop up.
Hannah was lost in wonder.

After collecting all the exam papers, Kelsey and Mr. Kevin rushed them straight to the faculty building.
There were 50 students taking the prep class exam, and in just two hours over lunch, the teachers from the top schools’ committee had already finished grading everything.
As soon as the results were released within the delegation committee, the whole place went wild.
Someone actually got a perfect score!
And they finished the exam in just half an hour!
Absolutely unprecedented!
The Holroad University delegation was the first to speak up. “This perfect-score student is ours. Holroad University is claiming them!”
11:08 Mon, Dec 22 GU.
Chapter 117
“Striford’s not having it! We want to claim this student too! Another group jumped in
Auburnbridge is in the race as well! We’re claiming this student someone else added
“This isn’t fair! Let the student decide for themselves! another voice protested.
The delegations were practically at each other’s throats, everyone wanted a piece of this genius. In the end, they agreed to just bring her in and let her make the call herself.
Meanwhile, over at the high school bulletin board, the place was packed.
Students who’d taken the exam were there, but even more were the ones who’d placed bets on the forum.
There were kids from elementary school, middle school, high school, and even college, all crammed together like sardines.
Everyone was dying to be the first to see the results.
“I heard someone actually got a perfect scorel”
“No way! I heard the top schools made the test crazy hard this year, and someone still aced it? That’s god-level!”
“Even Owen Croft didn’t get a perfect score last year, and now someone did? Who could it be?”
“Maybe it’s Claudia Warren from Class 1. She’s crazy smart.”
“Or maybe it’s Natasha Vivian from Class 1, Grade 12. She’s always chasing after Owen the genius. She’s always ranked second, right behind him.”
Jasper was in the crowd too, listening to everyone gossip. Instinctively, he was sure the one who got the perfect score had to be him.
The exam that morning had gone super smoothly for him. He breezed through it, especially those last two major problems.
He was totally sure of himself.
I’m definitely getting guaranteed admission to Holroad University, and I’ll prove to Owen I’ve got what it takes!’ he thought.
He glanced around, but Owen was nowhere to be seen.
Hale and Lucian shoved their way to the front, glaring at each other like rivals.
“Dumbass, don’t even bother. Your sister didn’t show up. She probably knows she bombed. You just flushed five million down the drain. Hope you can actually cover your losses!” Hale taunted.
Hale pulled a face at Lucian, just to rub it in.
After Hale said that, everyone started noticing Hannah was missing, and the crowd’s gossip kicked up a notch.
“Mind your own damn business!” Lucian shot back. He had no clue what Hannah was up to. He’d just tried calling her, but she didn’t answer.
“The teacher’s here!” someone yelled, and everyone quickly stepped aside to let the teacher through with the list of scores.
“Hey, who got the perfect score?” a student called out, unable to contain their curiosity.
The teacher slapped the results up on the bulletin board. “See for yourselves.”
The whole place went dead silent.
Chapter 117
Lucian held his breath, his eyes darting straight to the bottom of the list to check the last place score.
101 out of 200.
Lucian let out a sigh of relief. At least it’s not a zero. She didn’t just hand in a blank paper, he thought.
As for whether she just winged it… if she really managed to get that score by guessing, her luck must be off the charts.
Wait, hold up… Lucian thought, his heart suddenly skipping.
Wait, that’s not Hannah!’ He stared at the name, confused.
He kept scanning up, second-to-last, third-to-last, all the way up, and still no sign of Hannah.
‘Huh?’ Lucian’s eyes lit up, a hint of excitement creeping in.
He started searching higher and higher, his excitement building as he hunted for Hannah’s name.
The whole place was dead silent for a full two minutes.
Jasper saw the name at the very top and practically glued himself to the bulletin board, staring at it in utter disbelief. “How is this possible?!”
Finally, the students snapped out of their shock, and the whole place went absolutely wild.
“The Campus Queen actually took first place?! 200 points! She got a perfect score!”
“Holy shit, am I hallucinating?!”
“Nope, you’re not seeing things. I saw it too!”
“Teacher, did you double-check this list? Are you sure it’s not a mistake?!”
“Did Hannah seriously not cheat? For real?”
“Dude, she finished the test in just half an hour and still got a perfect score! Are you sure she wasn’t just copying straight from the answer sheet?”
