The Real Heiress Is Coming Back (Hannah Carter) novel Chapter 233

Chapter 233 Maybe You’re Overthinking This?

Chapter 233 Maybe You’re Overthinking This?

“Hannah, are you thinking of majoring in computer science or programming in college?” Arthur asked.

Hannah had received direct admission offers from two top universities in Kinswood half a year ago, but she still hadn’t mentioned which school she’d choose or what major she’d go for.

Seeing her learning programming now, Arthur just naturally assumed that was the field she wanted to pursue.

Barnaby glanced at Hannah, clearly interested in her answer.

“I haven’t decided yet,” Hannah replied.

She’d been so caught up in getting justice for her adoptive mother and clearing her adoptive father’s name that she never even considered what major to pick, she just needed an excuse to go to Kinswood.

But with everything that had happened lately, now that she had a real family and someone she loved, she finally understood that life wasn’t just about revenge, there was living, and there was a future to look forward

Barnaby took her hand. “No matter what major you pick, I’ll support you. And if you don’t want to study, that’s fine too, I’ll take care of you.”

Her lips curled into a smile as Hannah squeezed his hand tighter.

‘I really do need to think about our future together, she thought.

“You’re already the Nameless Healer, why even bother going to college? Instead of spending four years stuck in a classroom, you should use that time to turn your clinic into something big,” Aurelia said, then started laying out her plan.

She continued, “With your talent and Barnaby’s backing, you could take your clinic to the next level in no time, leave the Reese family in the dust, and become the top dog in the medical world.

“You could rule the whole medical scene in the country! And then the Scott family could finally stand shoulder to shoulder with the Four Great Families.

“So, Hannah, you’ve got to pull this off! I’ve already talked you up to all the high-society ladies, don’t make me eat my words!”

Hannah was speechless.

‘Isn’t she getting a little carried away?’ Hannah thought.

“Grandma, that’s some wild bragging, even for you!” Lucian joked.

“That’s a bit much, Mom. The Reese family has been at the top of the medical world for a hundred years, you’ re really setting the bar crazy high for Hannah,” Felicity added.

Her daughter was brilliant, but Felicity didn’t want Hannah’s talent to turn into a weight she had to carry.

“Hold up!” Lucian shot back, grinning with that cocky look.

“My sister’s already bagged the Lasker Medical Award, who knows, she might grab the Nobel Prize in Medicine next year! So just being number one in the country? Please, she ought to rule the whole world!” he said.

Felicity was speechless.

Barnaby was at a loss for words.

Hannah’s lips twitched.

‘Kid, aren’t you aiming a little too high?’ she thought.

“You know what? You’re absolutely right! Guess I’ve been thinking too small because I’m not rich enough!” Aurelia couldn’t help but slap her leg in excitement. “Hannah, do you still have any of that special medicine?

Go submit it for the Nobel Prize in Medicine! And if you can mass-produce it, make it our family’s exclusive patent! We can’t let the Reese family get their hands on it!

“If I remember right, that special medicine was made with the Obsidian Pearl. It’s super rare, there’s no way we can make it in bulk,” Arthur reminded her.

“Just because it’s rare doesn’t mean we can’t find more! We can always send people out to hunt for it!” Aurelia

insisted.

“Exactly!” Dorian nodded in agreement.

As the Nameless Healer’s dad, Dorian was already strutting around with pride. If Hannah really became the world’s number one, he’d be the dad of a global legend!

He’d probably wake up grinning from ear to ear in his dreams.

Thinking about that, Dorian couldn’t help but chime in with a plan.

He said, “The last Obsidian Pearl was dug up by the Scepter House. We could ask around and find out exactly where they found it, then pay people to go hunt for more! If there’s no chance, we’ll make one ourselves.” Hearing that, Arthur, who’d just thought it was way too far-fetched, suddenly realized it actually made sense and nodded along. “Yeah, that could work.”

“So what are we waiting for? Get someone on it, right now!” Aurelia urged.

Barnaby was speechless.

‘Do they really think the Scepter House folks are just sitting around doing nothing?’ Barnaby thought.

‘Do they really think they can just stroll in and get whatever info they want?’ he mused.

‘If the Obsidian Pearl was that easy to find, you think it’d ever be your turn?’ Barnaby scoffed to himself.

Hannah was speechless.

‘Are they really this happy just daydreaming?’ she thought.

Seeing Dorian and Arthur actually about to start making calls to dig up info, Hannah stood up and said, “It’s getting late. Go wash up and get some sleep, dream about whatever you want.”

Dorian was speechless.

Arthur was at a loss for words.

Aurelia was just fell silent.

“Wait, am I the only one curious about where Hannah got all that cash to snag the Obsidian Pearl? Word is, it sold for a jaw-dropping 290 million at the auction,” Lucian suddenly blurted out.

As soon as he said that, everyone turned to Hannah, and suddenly it all clicked, they finally realized what was

Arthur thought, ‘Man, I’m embarrassed, Hannah’s been richer than me this whole time!’

Dorian thought, ‘Guess I’m the real fool in the Scott family.

Felicity thought, ‘Hannah is so impressive!’

Aurelia thought, ‘Is it still not too late to spoil my granddaughter?’

Barnaby thought, ‘That’s a good reminder, I need to check the accounts when I get home. I really made Hannah spend a fortune; I need to find a way to get that money back to her.’

At Thole Manor, Iris’s residence.

“Iris, are you feeling any better?” Howard’s wife Eleanor walked in with a thermos, moving through Iris’s bedroom like she’d been there a hundred times.

Iris was lounging in bed, with Kyson sitting beside her, keeping her company. When Eleanor came in, Kyson greeted her sweetly, “Hi, Grand-aunt Eleanor.”

“Kyson, you’re here too,” Eleanor said with a smile, nodding as she set the thermos down on the table.

Chapter 233 Maybe You’re Overthinking This?

“Here, Iris, I made this chicken soup for you early this morning,” Eleanor said warmly.

“The doctor mentioned your body’s still a bit weak, so having some of this will help boost your immune system and improve your appetite. It’s good for your health and for the baby’s development, she continued.

Eleanor poured out a bowl of soup and handed it to Iris.

As soon as Iris smelled the chicken, her stomach flipped and she instantly felt like she was going to gag.

She fought back the urge to throw up and said, “Thanks, Aunt Eleanor, but I really can’t drink it right now. Just the smell of chicken makes me want to puke.”

“That’s normal. I’ll just leave it here for you to have later,” Eleanor said, setting the soup aside. “But make sure you have some later, okay?”

“Ms. Iris, Dr. Madison is here,” Martha announced, leading a smartly dressed woman into the room.

Iris’s eyes brightened. “So, what’s the verdict?”

“Ms. Iris, I ran the tests. It’s all safe, just traditional herbs to help protect your pregnancy. Nothing harmful at all,” Dr. Madison said, handing over the report.

“Thank you for your trouble,” Iris said, scanning the report to double-check. Satisfied, she took off her gold bracelet and handed it to the herbalist.

“Thank you, Ms. Iris!” Dr. Madison beamed, accepting the bracelet with obvious delight.

As soon as Dr. Madison left, Iris immediately asked Kyson to pour her a glass of warm water. Then she took out the small ceramic bottle Hannah had given her, popped out a pill, and swallowed it down.

Eleanor couldn’t take her eyes off Iris as she swallowed the pill, looking genuinely worried.

“Iris, where did you get that medicine? You need to be extra careful right now, you can’t just take whatever you want,” Eleanor said, worried.

“The Nameless Healer gave it to me,” Iris replied.

Eleanor’s eyes flashed with doubt. “You actually brought in the Nameless Healer to treat you?”

Iris nodded, raising her brows in mock surprise. “Yeah, is that a problem?”

‘That’s a huge problem!’ Eleanor thought.

Back when Daisy’s real identity hadn’t been exposed, everyone in the Thole family was all in, they all wanted the Nameless Healer for themselves.

So, they were hoping Barnaby would marry Daisy from the Reese family, just so they could bring the Nameless Healer into the Thole family and claim her for themselves.

But now, it turned out Daisy was just a fake, the real Nameless Healer was Hannah all along!

“Wait, who exactly is Hannah?

“She was the girl who got switched at birth eighteen years ago, lived as Calista in the Thole family for six years!

“Someone who was thought to be dead for twelve years suddenly shows up? That’s seriously ominous,” Eleanor thought, feeling a chill run down her spine.
