Chapter 254 He Found Raven
Chapter 254 He Found Raven
In the CEO’s office of Xenith Systems Group, Barnaby stood tall by the floor-to-ceiling windows, his long, elegant fingers swirling a glass of red wine.
His sharp, almond-shaped eyes were half-lidded as he gazed down at the sea of people below, as if they were nothing but ants beneath his feet.
“Barnaby, Axel just called. He said the Interpol situation has been taken care of,” Magnus said as he knocked and entered the office to report.
“Mm,” Barnaby replied with a low grunt. He pulled out his phone sent a quick message, then took a graceful sip of his wine, his lips curling into a smirk.
Magnus walked up to the window, glanced down at the crowd, and sighed, “What do you think your brother’s face would look like if he saw the mess you’ve stirred up today?”
“Don’t bring him up on a day like this. Don’t spoil my mood,” Barnaby said coldly.
Magnus pursed his lips. ‘Yeah, some big day. The third anniversary of you defying the Thole family; he thought.
“So, who the hell is this Raven anyway?” Magnus asked, switching the topic.
“You really want to know?” Barnaby gave him a sidelong look.
Magnus nodded. He hadn’t cared much before, but with all this commotion, and even Eirengard offering a ten-million-dollar bounty, with the whole world hunting for Raven, he couldn’t help but get curious about who this Raven really was.
Barnaby said coolly, “Why don’t you go figure it out yourself.”
He gave Barnaby a mocking look and teased, “Don’t tell me you don’t know either?”
“Still confirming,” Barnaby replied, glancing at his phone. The message he’d sent was still unanswered.
Magnus was stunned. “You still don’t know? Then why did you send Axel to…”
Before Magnus could finish, the office door was knocked again and Finneus walked in, curling his lip in disdain but saying nothing more.
“Barnaby, Howard and Dustin just arrived. Word is, they’re hoping Raven can help the Thole family develop a new chip,” Finneus reported.
Barnaby let out a cold, mocking laugh but didn’t say a word.
“Also, Ronin’s people say Ms. Carter is almost here,” Finneus added.
At that, the mocking smile on Barnaby’s face vanished instantly replaced by a meaningful, almost knowing grin.
‘Just as I thought, she really showed up, Barnaby mused to himself.
“I’m heading downstairs. You handle the rest,” he said, passing his wine glass to Finneus.
“Yes,” Finneus replied.

Hannah was sitting in Oliver’s luxury van, browsing the news on her phone.
“Damn, Boss! You’re blowing up! Everyone’s out there hunting for you! With all this chaos, if they ever figure out who you are, won’t they go nuts fighting over you?” Van said, eyes wide as he scrolled through the news.
After checking out the trending searches and hacker forum, Hannah was honestly floored. She never imagined she could cause such a huge commotion. ‘If I run into Shadow at the anniversary party, am I gonna get totally roasted for this?’ she thought.
She sent Candy a message, asking how that thing she’d asked her to look into earlier was going.
Candy called her immediately.
“Hannah, I got the info! The case checks out, and the warrant is totally real!
“The bounty just shot up from a hundred grand to a million! Word is out that you’ll be at the Xenith Systems Group anniversary tonight, and they’re all gearing up to make a move! m watching the livestream, and Brynlock is going crazy right now!
“Seriously, do not go to Xenith Systems Group Successfully unlocked! ght for sure!” Candy said.
“I’m already heading over,” Hannah said, glancing out the wind. They were practically at the Xenith Systems Group building. “Actually, I’m pretty much here.”
“Oh my god! Why are you so reckless? If you get caught, am I gonna need special permission just to visit you in jail? No way, I can’t deal with that…” Candy shrieked.

“Don’t jinx it, Candy. I’m just here to find someone and say hi to shadow, then I’m out,” Hannah replied
Candy pouted, “Should I send my royal bodyguards over to protect you? Is it still not too late?”
“Don’t bother,” Hannah said.
She knew she could handle things better on her own, bringing a whole squad would just draw attention and blow her cover
Just then, the van pulled up to the main entrance and came to a smooth stop.
“Alright, I’m here. Talk to you later,” Hannah said, hanging up. Just then, her WhatsApp pinged, a message from her Nameless Healer account. She quickly switched over.
The Scepter House’s Master: [I’ve got a little gift for you.]
Attached was a photo. Hannah tapped it open, her eyes widening in shock. Her mind raced with questions: ‘How did he know?’
‘How did the Master know that I’m Raven?’ Hannah wondered.
They’d tangled online a few times before, but she was certain she hadn’t left any traces or evidence behind.
The only thing that might have exposed her was that transaction record with the Scepter House, but she was sure she’d deleted it for good.
All kinds of doubts flashed through her mind, but she quickly regained her composure. ‘Anyone who’s risen to become the Master of the Scepter House is definitely not someone to underestimate, she thought.
A sly grin spread across Hannah’s face as she quickly typed back: [Thanks. Wanna meet up later? Vulcan.]
Since she’d been exposed, there was no point pretending anymore.
After all, he was exactly who she’d come for tonight.
“Boss, maybe you should just take the back entrance with us? If you flash that invite, your cover’s blown for sure. You’ll probably get dragged off before you even step inside,” Van said, eyeing the cops outside with worry.
Seeing that the Master of the Scepter House hadn’t replied, Hannah put away her phone, unbuckled her seatbelt, and said, ” Don’t worry about it. If I keep playing third wheel, our superstar Oliver’s gonna ice me out completely.”
As she spoke, she glanced at Oliver up front, whose face was still icy cold.
Van cleared his throat. “So, what’s your move now?”
“Relax, they won’t catch me,” Hannah said, opening the door and stepping out.
Van started to follow, wanting to do his assistant duty, but Olive held him back. “Sweetheart, she’s got her own way of handling things. Just stay out of it.”

Howard and Dustin rolled up to the front entrance of Xenith Systems Group, only to see the whole world out hunting for Raven. Dustin was totally floored.
He’d figured their only real competition was Xenith Systems Group, and as long as they snagged Raven before Finneus made his move, they’d be gold. But now, it looked like everyone was after Raven!
They’d come in thinking tonight was a sure win, but now? All they could do was wing it and hope for the best.
As they were getting their invitations checked at the entrance, Dustin caught sight of Hannah stepping out of a van. His eyes went wide with excitement.
Even though the door shut almost immediately, he managed to atch a glimpse, Van was inside, and there was another figure in the car.
Van was Raven’s assistant, which could only mean the other person was Raven.
“Dad, I found Raven! She’s in that van! Van’s still inside,” Dustin leaned in and whispered, barely able to contain his
excitement.
Howard followed his son’s gaze and spotted Hannah first. A flash of hatred flickered in his eyes, but he quickly turned his attention to the van behind her, which was slowly making its way toward the underground parking lot.
“Hurry up and stop them!” Howard snapped.
