“Are you sure you can do this?” Dorian whispered to Lucian, his voice full of worry.

‘This is just way over the line!’ Dorian fumed inwardly.

‘But there’s no way I’m ever apologizing to them!’ he told himsel stubbornly.

“Yeah,” Lucian replied. He’d already agreed, and backing out now would make him look like he didn’t have any guts. He had no choice but to tough it out.

Besides, with Kaelin ranked 99th in the world, picking on a total ookie in front of everyone, even if Lucian lost, it wouldn’t be a shame at all. If anything, Kaelin would just look like a bully

By now, everyone who wanted to bet had already put their money on Kaelin. They were trying to cozy up to the Harris family, or just too scared to go against them. Anyone who didn’t want to get involved simply kept out of it.

Just then, an icy voice cut through the crowd.

Lucian instantly recognized it and spun around, his eyes lighting up. “Sis!”

Hannah strode forward, and the crowd instinctively parted to make way for her.

She wore an oversized men’s suit, hanging loosely on her frame but it only made her cold, aloof vibe even more striking.

Barnaby followed right behind her, exuding pure boss energy.

“Barnaby,” Dorian greeted, his tone full of obvious respect.

That’s when the crowd suddenly realized, holy crap, the Scott family was connected to the Nameless Healer!

And the Nameless Healer was Barnaby’s girlfriend!

‘Shit, is it still possible to switch my bet to the Scott family?’ someone thought, panic creeping in.

Winning or losing didn’t matter anymore, what mattered was getting in with them.

But Aurora couldn’t care less about any of them. ‘Who cares about Barnaby? My sister-in-law is married to the Thole Group CEO!’ she sneered to herself.

Lucian looked stubborn and defiant, like he’d rather die than let anyone trample on his pride. There was something almost cute about how proud and stubborn he was.

Since they were her family, there was no way she’d let anyone push them around.

“Alright, I’ll play along,” Hannah said, cracking her knuckles.

Lucian was both excited and a little nervous about teaming up with Hannah. Standing right next to her, gripping her hand, he said with a straight face, “If we lose, I’ll apologize for you.”

Hannah just blinked, not knowing what to say.

‘Seriously? Can’t you be a little more optimistic?’ she thought.

Barnaby shot Ronin a look, and Ronin immediately signaled the staff to bring over a laptop, plus a table and chairs.

The buzz was enough to catch the attention of more guests, and people started gathering around, the crowd quickly swelled.

Hannah and Kaelin each took a seat, laptops in front of them. The staff had already set up both laptops on the big screen for everyone to see.

“Just so you don’t say I’m picking on you, I’ll let you go first,” Kaelin said with a sneer.

Hayes swaggered over with a smug look, slotted a coin into the claw machine, and the countdown began, 120 seconds on the clock.

Kaelin’s fingers flew across the keyboard like lightning, lines of code streaming down the screen in a blur.

Without missing a beat, he hacked straight into the claw machine’s main system and started rewriting the code right there. Without thinking, Hannah reached into her coat pocket, pulled out a flash drive, and slotted it into the laptop.

Barnaby caught sight of the flash drive just as it went in, but he was a second too late.

A golden yellow bonfire emblem lit up the computer screen, and in the next instant, it was splashed across the big screen for everyone to see.

Barnaby just stared, speechless.

‘Damn, I totally forgot I had a flash drive in my pocket!’ he thought, mentally kicking himself.

The whole place exploded, guests went wild, shouting over each other.

“Vulcan!”

“Whoa, she’s Vulcan? No wonder she was so full of herself earlier!”

“This is gonna be epic!”

“Damn, this is epic! That was a savage slap in the face!”

Hannah was just as stunned, her eyes glued to the flash drive. She’d grabbed it from her jacket pocket without a second thought.
