The Real Heiress Is Coming Back (Hannah Carter) novel Chapter 314

Chapter 313 The Beginning Of Hell

Chapter 313 The Beginning Of Hell

“Who are you?” Chloe asked, her voice flat and numb.

“It’s me, William Marsh. You know, the guy you met at Nocturne Grand that night. Don’t you remember?” The man’s voice was sleazy.

That made Chloe remember. She’d met him before, back when she was in a private room at Nocturne Grand with Darren. He was a fat, balding, greasy old creep, so disgusting it stuck in her mind. His own daughter was older than Chloe, but he still tried to grope her.

“What do you want, William?” Chloe asked, her tone flat and indiferent.

“I heard you’re in a tough spot and need some cash. Be my mistress, and I’ll help you out,” William said, his voice dripping with sleaze.

If this had happened before, Chloe would’ve hung up in a heartbeat, probably yelling, “Get lost!” before she did.

She’d always wanted to give her first time to the man she truly loved.

But now, with nowhere else to turn, she asked, “Will you really pay off all my debts?”

Seeing her hesitate, William’s voice turned even sleazier. “Sweetheart, if you just give in to me, those debts are nothing. I’ll even buy you a house and a car.”

Chloe’s heart skipped a beat. Her medicine was gone, and Alistair Reese wouldn’t help her. If she didn’t do something, the loan sharks would come after her and probably kill her.

She didn’t want to die.

Compared to getting hacked to death by loan sharks, sleeping with someone for money was nothing. As long as she kept it a secret, no one would ever know.

Chloe’s eyes

flashed with resolve. “Fine, but you’d better keep your word.”

William, completely blinded by lust, agreed eagerly. “Of course, of course! I’ll send you the address. See you later.”

Chloe hung up, glanced at the address, got herself ready, changed into a new outfit, and headed out.

She thought that if she just slept with him a few times for money, she could settle everything. But she had no idea this was only the beginning of her descent into hell, a fate worse than death.

Meanwhile, elsewhere.

Percival Nox walked out of Grace Hospital, feeling down. But when he spotted a girl standing off to the side by the entrance, his eyes lit up.

She was dressed in a form-fitting white dress with subtle patterns, her long black hair braided in a fishtail style and tied behind her. The sunlight cast a golden glow around her, making her look almost ethereal, so beautiful it was like she didn’t belong in this world.

Percival Nox gave himself a quick slap on the cheek to wake up then walked over. “Ms. Carter, what are you doing here?”

Hannah turned around. “I told you, just call me Hannah. No need to be so formal.”

Percival Nox rubbed his nose awkwardly. “Hannah.”

Even though they’d been hanging out for almost half a month, every time he saw Hannah, he couldn’t help but get all starstruck. He had to hold himself back from blurting out things like “idol,” “goddess,” or even “sister-in-law.”

“So, how did it go?” Hannah asked.

Percival Nox couldn’t help but recall what the vice dean had just told him in the office:

“The Nameless Healer may be famous, but she’s never successfully woken up a vegetative patient. Dr. Williams is a renowned professor of psychiatry from Veridia.

“He’s managed to revive ten vegetative patients, and even he couldn’t do anything for Mr. Todd. If even he can’t help, there’s really no hope for Mr. Todd.”

“Honestly, it’s a lost cause. I can’t let you use the operating room or any of our medical equipment. Mr. Nox, I hope you understand my situation.”

Hannah needed an operating room and some Successfully unlocked! t have any of that.

He thought he could get the operating room at the Reese family hospital headquarters, but he quickly realized he’d

overestimated his standing in the family.

The main branch had always kept a tight leash on the side branches, making sure they couldn’t get involved in the hospital s affairs. They wouldn’t even let him use an operating room.

Hannah could tell from his silence what the answer was. “Let’s o,” she said.

She walked over to the car parked nearby, where Joe Jones was waiting for them inside.

Percival Nox followed, feeling deflated. “I’m sorry. I really thought I could pull it off…”

place,” Hannah said as she got into the car, sending a message on her phone.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ve already found She never expected Grace Hospital to provide a venue, but since Percival Nox insisted on trying, she didn’t stop him. Percival Nox looked surprised. “You found one? Where is it?”

“You’ll see soon enough. Joe, let’s get going,” Hannah said to Joe Jones, who was behind the wheel. But he didn’t respond. “Joe?” Hannah called again, and Joe finally snapped out of it. “Ch, right, we’re heading out now, huh?”

Hannah followed his gaze and spotted Chloe’s medicinal restaurant just up ahead. The door was open, but there weren’t many customers inside.

As their car rolled past the restaurant, Chloe was nowhere to be seen. She probably didn’t dare show her face there anymore, worried the debt collectors would catch up to her.

In the vice dean’s office.

Darren Reese stood by the window, watching as Percival Nox and Hannah got into the car and drove away. His gaze was deep and unreadable, giving nothing away.

“Darren, if the old man hears about this, he’ll definitely blow his pp,” the vice dean cautioned.

Honestly, just letting Hannah and Percival use the operating room and some equipment wouldn’t hurt anything.

If anything, it could make for a headline about the Nameless Healer teaming up with Grace Hospital, and who knows, maybe even give the hospital’s stock price a bump.

But Darren wouldn’t budge.

Ever since Hannah got Daisy thrown in jail, the Reese family and the Nameless Healer had been at odds.

And now, with the news that Chloe’s batch of herbs had gone to waste and hadn’t hurt Ms. Carter’s clinic at all, Darren was even more pissed off.

It wasn’t that he cared about Daisy or Chloe, what really got under his skin was that Hannah had damaged the Reese family’ s reputation. He was the one who was supposed to take over the family, and he couldn’t stand the thought of anyone outshining him, especially his rivals.

“Then make sure he never finds out,” Darren snapped.

Mr. Reese was off in Sylvania for a medical conference. If he were here, there’s no way he’d let them bring Chloe into the Reese family and do something so outrageous.

“But even if we refuse to give them the operating room and equipment, they’ll just find someone else who will,” the vice dean couldn’t help but remind him.

After all, the Nameless Healer’s reputation is still a big deal.

Darren’s eyes glinted with malice. “Spread the word, under no circumstances is anyone to provide Hannah or Percival Nox with an operating room or any equipment!”

The vice dean’s lips parted, as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he just nodded and said, “Yes, sir, then turned to make a call.

After a moment, he came back and said cautiously, “Darren, Ms Carter has already found an operating room and equipment. Concord Hospital is providing them.”

“Are they trying to cut ties with the Reese family?!” Darren slamed his hand on the desk.

Concord Hospital might be a public hospital in Kinswood, but they’ve always worked closely with the Reese family on medical equipment.

“It was Jonathan Whitmore, president of the Traditional Medicine Association, who pulled some strings and got it approved,” the vice dean explained.

At the mention of Jonathan Whitmore’s name, Darren clenched his fists. The Reese family had always specialized in Modern medicine, but they’d been thinking about expanding int traditional medicine for a while.

Darren had tried to meet with Jonathan Whitmore several times but the guy was always too busy to see him.

Why does he suddenly have time to get involved in this? Darren thought, his frustration boiling over.

“Let’s go to Concord Hospital. I want to see just how capable this young girl really is!” Darren shot to his feet and stormed
