Tristan stayed behind to sort out the follow-up matters. Evan had already passed out from overwhelming pain. He struggled to sit up the moment he saw someone walk in.
When Kian walked in, Tristan stood.
“Mr. Marlow.”
“Mm, I heard someone got injured. I’m here to disinfect the wounds.”
Kian set down his medical kit and took out a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Not far outside, Theo peeked through the interrogation room glass, instinctively covering his lower body, and hurried away quickly.
No one dared to get involved. The Hale family raised such a reckless troublemaker; they’ve truly courted disaster.
Tristan also took a few steps backward.
Kian looked at Evan lying motionless on the floor, looking utterly defeated. Keeping a calm and gentle expression, he uncapped the alcohol and poured it steadily over the bloodstained part of Evan’s trousers without the slightest change in his demeanor.
“AAAAH!”
The intense stinging jolted Evan wide awake instantly. He writhed frantically all over the floor, consumed by unbearable agony.

Kian poured most of the liquid first. Seeing his face covered in fresh scratches and bruises, he tilted the bottle again and splashed the remaining alcohol straight onto Evan’s face.
Shrill screams echoed nonstop throughout the room, leaving his face badly scarred beyond repair.
“Tristan, I’ve finished the disinfection work. I’ll leave the rest for you to handle.”
Kian tossed the empty bottle into the trash bin and spoke to Tristan in a polite, mild tone.
“Understood.”
Tristan sighed inwardly in admiration. It was no wonder Kian could get along well with his boss. As a medical practitioner, his methods were truly ruthless and effective.
Evan totally deserved this punishment for his vulgar words and rude behavior. He had foolishly offended two powerful people at once.

If Hallie had not been skilled in self-defense and Zora had not known how to drug people, ordinary young girls would have definitely suffered greatly facing those spoiled rich brats.
The Hale family had truly hit a solid wall this time.
“Do you want me to stay here and keep you company?” Leighton drove them back to their residential district and asked softly.
“No need, go handle your own work. Zora and I are hanging out tomorrow. Don’t come bother
us.”
Hallie waved her hand casually while taking a bite of the bread in her hand.
They were both starving after all the chaos earlier without getting any proper food. Leighton had bought them bread to ease their hunger on the way.
Leighton’s gaze drifted gently toward Zora sitting in the passenger seat, worrying that she might still be frightened after experiencing such a fierce conflict for the first time.
“Leighton, you head back early and rest too. Don’t forget to drink nourishing soup.”
Zora nibbled her bread slowly. She had been running around all afternoon and was indeed quite hungry.
“This milk is warm.”
While waiting for the traffic light, Leighton pulled a carton of warm milk from the storage box, inserted a straw, and handed it to her.
Having gone through such a tense incident, something warm and sweet could easily soothe uneasy emotions.
“Thank you.”
Zora took it and took a slow sip. The warm sweetness slid down her throat, gradually calming down her lingering unease.
To be honest, Zora had felt genuinely scared earlier. It was her first time witnessing such a violent group fight. She felt helpless watching Hallie fight off so many people all by herself without being able to lend a hand.
“What will happen to those people in the end?” Zora asked quietly.
“I will take care of everything. Don’t worry at all. They will never dare show up in front of you two again,” Leighton comforted her softly.

Hallie sitting in the back seat was not surprised in the slightest. She knew perfectly well her cousin would never let those troublemakers get away easily.
If ordinary weak young girls had been surrounded instead of them, no one could tell what terrible things would have happened.
Those idle, spoiled heirs had no sense of right or wrong, and their cruel nature should never be underestimated.
Knowing they would get well-deserved punishment put Zora completely at ease. She felt no sympathy toward such unreasonable troublemakers.
Leighton finally relaxed, seeing her mood lighten up.
“Have a good rest once you get inside. Call me anytime if anything happens.”
The car stopped outside the community gate. He gently ruffled Zora’s soft hair.
“Zora, if anything happens, call me.”
He slipped a chocolate candy into her palm as well.
Zora stared at the candy wrapper, which looked almost identical to the ones she had given him earlier that morning.
“I will.”
She held the candy tightly, pushed open the car door, and stepped out.
Hallie was already waiting for her, and the two walked side by side toward their apartment building.
Leighton watched their figures disappear from sight before starting the car and leaving. He glanced at his phone on the way and learned what Kian had done in the interrogation room, a faint, amused smile tugging at his lips.
Truly fitting for a doctor, his way of teaching people lessons was sharp.
That night, the two girls shared the same bedroom.
“Zora, your figure is absolutely amazing!”
Hallie was drying her hair when Zora walked out of the bathroom wearing a white camisole nightdress. Her smooth skin and graceful posture made her look just like a soft, sweet dessert.
Hallie immediately jumped up and rushed over, gently touching Zora’s slender arms.

She playfully pinched her soft cheeks, stroked her slim back, and hugged her slender waist, staring at her admiringly without hiding her fondness.
