Chapter 116 Watch the Show
So that’s her biological father.
“Wait,” Draven said, his tone low. His eyes narrowed, calculating.
He was still her father, after all.
Vance stood in Cassia’s path, blocking her way.

“Cassia, my sweet girl, my company’s out of cash. I’ve got a new shipment coming in, and I need a little help. Spot me some money, yeah?”
Out of cash? He had to be joking. Nicole had just reported that his company earned another ten million in profit through Cosmo Group’s support.
Cassia said nothing. She simply shifted to the side, trying to walk around him.
Not telling him to shove off was already her version of mercy.
I’m ignored again?
Vance’s face twisted with frustration. His voice rose, rough and bitter.
“I’m your father! Giving me money is your duty!”
“This guy’s a real piece of work,” Seven muttered.
From the tone, he could tell this shameless man was Cassia’s father. He was just like her other relatives.
“Get out of my sight.”
Cassia’s voice came cold and sharp.
“Say that again if you dare, Cassia!” Vance roared, his face red with rage as he jabbed a finger toward her.
Cassia’s eyes locked onto his hand.
She didn’t speak. She just stared at him, her face expressionless, her eyes like glass–cold, distant, and utterly lifeless.
The longer he held her gaze, the colder he felt. A shiver crept up his back, and his hand slowly dropped under the weight of that icy silence.
But pride kept him from backing down completely.
He was an adult man, and this girl was his daughter.
He straightened up and spat out, “Cassia, you’re giving me money today. Either hand it over, or I’ll take it myself.”

Cassia didn’t even look at him. She brushed past without a single word.
Vance was ignored again.
Vance’s jaw clenched, fury twisting his face. He spun around and lunged, reaching for her hair.
Cassia’s narrowed eyes burned with quiet fury.
Before she could move, an elegant hand entered her view.

The fingers were long and refined, each motion precise and deliberate, like something sculpted to perfection.
A sharp smack cut through the air as Vance’s outstretched hand was struck away.
He clutched his wrist with a gasp of pain, his face twisting as he stumbled back, shock written all over him.
Draven stood beside Cassia, his gaze sweeping over her before pausing briefly on the anklet that shimmered against her pale ankle.
Then his eyes lifted again, calm but cold.
“Who the hell are you? What’s your problem?”
Vance hadn’t even noticed who had hit him until now. But when he looked up and met Draven’s piercing eyes, his breath caught. His anger faltered, and his knees went weak.
“I’m her friend,” Draven said, his tone low and even, carrying a quiet authority that filled the space between them.
Friends also go out for dinner together.
He almost explained further but decided against it. Vance ran a company–if he had any sense at all, he’d understand what Draven was implying.
Draven rarely showed his face in public. Ned had made sure of that. Only a few people in the world knew what he looked like.
Someone like Vance only knew the legend of Draven Grey, the man at the center of Vrastin’s most powerful family. To him, the man standing here was just some wealthy investor–he never realized the truth. He never knew that he was facing a living legend.
Yet even without knowing his name, Draven’s quiet dominance made Vance’s pulse race. His very presence pressed down like an invisible weight, cool and absolute,
Vance understood the message now.
A man who could walk in and out of the Grand Laurel Hotel with ease and casually gift something that rare was no ordinary man.
And his instincts screamed that this one was dangerous.
