Cassia recognized the card. It was the same one she had used to transfer money to Sterling last time.

“I made money.” Sterling’s voice was clear and bright, pure and clean.

“How much?” Cassia took the bank card from Sterling’s hand.

“Five times.” Sterling stared at Cassia, a faint glimmer of hope hidden in the depths of his eyes.
