“How dare you say that! The parents of the students you hurt have already come to me!”
Harold glared at Chris, his face shaking with
anger.
“What?” Chris felt a chill of fear.
He thought to himself. How is that possible? They didn’t have the guts before…
“This involves the students you hurt and the school’s reputation, so I didn’t call the police,” Harold said, cutting him off. “Go pack your things. You’re fired, starting today.”
Fired?
That word exploded in Chris’s brain.
“Mr. Bell, I’ve worked so hard for this school for so many years. Can’t you give me one more chance?”
“It’s not up to me. You broke the rules of being a teacher,” Harold said coldly.
“If you hadn’t acted this way, you wouldn’t have offended someone you shouldn’t have messed with.”
Offended someone he shouldn’t have?
Who did he offend?
Suddenly, Chris remembered what Cassia had once said to him.
“How many years have you been the assistant principal?”
If he thought about the hidden meaning behind that sentence, she said, “Your time as the assistant principal ends today.”
And she continued with, “You don’t need to come in tomorrow.”
So, the person he offended was Cassia?
No way. She’s just a high school student!
Chris packed his things and left the school in shame, carrying a cardboard box.

As he walked, he kept wondering who had actually taken him down.

But he told himself it was fine. Even if he lost his job at the high school, he still had the Arwing Piano Club. He was the club’s principal, appointed by the manager himself!
Chris went to the piano club.
When he opened the door to his office, he saw the manager, Jake, sitting in his leather chair.
“Mr. Madron! What brings you here? You should have told me you were coming so I could welcome you!” Chris said, acting like a suck–up.
Now that he had lost his job at the school, he cared about this position more than ever.
Jake sat with his legs crossed and a cold look on his face. “You don’t need to come here anymore. Arwing has decided to remove you from your position as club principal.”
“Why?”
Chris had just been fired from the high school, and now he was being fired again. This double blow felt like a bolt of lightning. He was about to break down.
“Why?” Jake sneered. He pulled a stack of bills and documents from under the desk, stood up, and threw them hard at Chris’s face.
The papers were scattered everywhere.
“This club is for charity! We have strict rules, but you charged people expensive, sign–up fees for yourself! Not only that, you took bribes and threatened our members! You used your power for your own gain, and you’ve ruined everything Arwing stands for!”
Jake said everything in one breath. Before Chris could react, he added sharply, “Get out. You aren’t welcome at the Arwing Piano Club ever again!”
Chris carried his box down a lonely path where no one was around, feeling totally defeated.
How could he be so unlucky today? All the secrets he had hidden so well were suddenly caught.
As he walked, two men in sunglasses suddenly rushed up and pulled a sack over his head.
“Who are you? What do you want? Ah!”
The only answer Chris got was a flurry of punches and kicks.

A moment later, a man named Axel looked down at the beaten Chris. He made a phone call and said, “Sir, everything is done just like you asked. He won’t ever be able to ‘be a man‘ again.”
“Mm,” a cold, indifferent voice replied.
Axel finally relaxed a bit.
He had messed up the task of delivering porridge last time, but his boss had been kind enough not to punish him.
Failing such a small task was embarrassing, and he made sure he would never make a mistake like that again.
This was Draven’s personal revenge. After Axel and the others left, Jake came out from the shadows and kicked Chris, who was still unconscious.
“For bullying the boss! For bullying the boss! Go rot in prison for the rest of your life!”
After the kicks, Jake followed Cassia’s orders and called the police.
Chris was arrested. With all the evidence against him, the court fined him 500,000 dollars and sentenced him to 30 years in prison.
Chris was already 59 years old. Thirty years meant he would spend the rest of his life in a cold jail cell.
The Arwing Piano Club looked for a new principal, choosing someone who actually cared about music and the community.
The high school’s reputation took a small hit, but the students Chris had hurt were finally free from the shadows. The parents who had been threatened for years finally got justice.
Everyone was happy to see him gone.
Meanwhile, at the Wood Manor, Geneva, Vance, and Victoria sat on the sofa, looking miserable.
