Since Draven said that, Shane didn’t try to make him stay. “Oh, I see. You should go then. They just got dismissed, so she’s probably still in school.”
“Yeah.” Draven nodded and walked out of the office.
Brie hugged the big box in her arms, crying her eyes out. She felt so wronged.
She
grew up being praised and cheered for; nobody had ever yelled at her in her life—not even Vance.
But that teacher just told her to “get lost” all because of Cassia?
She couldn’t let this go!
“Brie, what happened?”
“Brie? You just went to grab your stuff. Why are you crying?”
Danica and Vance saw her crying in the car, with red eyes, and rushed to comfort her.
Danica even helped put the big box into the trunk.
“I ran into that teacher Cassia is dating.” Brie sobbed from the back seat.
“What happened? Did he yell at you?” Vance hated seeing girls cry—especially Brie. Every time she cried, his heart felt like someone poked it with needles.
“It’s wrong
for Cassia to date a teacher. I didn’t want them to keep making a mistake, so I told him to stop bothering her for both their sakes…”
“That’s a good thing. You did the right thing.”
“Yeah, he should have thanked you!”
Vance and Danica were confused. Why was Brie crying then?
“I thought so too, but… but…”
Brie started crying even harder, huge tears rolling down her face. Vance and Danica felt
terrible for her.

“What?” Vance got angry. “What kind of teacher says that?! That’s so unprofessional! I’m reporting him!”
How dare he yell at his precious Brie! That teacher was about to lose his job!
“I’m going to the principal right now! A teacher like that is a danger to the school!” Vance was furious. He unbuckled his seatbelt, jumped out of the car, and stormed toward the school.
Danica pulled Brie out of the car, too.
“Don’t be scared, Brie. Dad’s got your back. Let’s go see the principal!”
“Okay!”
On the outside, Brie was still crying and acting worried about Cassia, but inside, she was celebrating.
See the principal? Perfect! Cassia, you’re done this time!
The three of them reached the principal’s office. Vance knocked on the door.
“Come in,” Harold’s voice came from inside.
Vance opened the door and walked in with the two girls.
“Hello, Mr. Wood. What can I help you with?”
Harold stood up and reached out for a friendly handshake.
“Mr. Bell, I’m here to file a complaint!” Vance yelled the second he stepped inside. “I’m reporting one of your teachers for dating my daughter!”
“Huh?” Harold was completely lost.
“Mr. Wood, please calm down. You’re saying a teacher at my school is dating your daughter?”
Harold glanced at the two girls behind him.
“Not them,” Vance said. “It’s my other daughter–the troublemaker, Cassia!”
“How could that be? Mr. Wood, I think there might be some misunderstanding.”
Cassia? She was a big shot who handled everything perfectly. She even donated the school’s

It’s normal for teenagers to have a crush on a teacher, but actually dating one?
Harold was sure a big shot like Cassia could control herself.

Vance was taken aback. When he first dropped Cassia off at school, Harold didn’t think highly of her at all. Why did his attitude change now?
Vance pushed Brie forward. “Brie, tell him what happened. Don’t be scared, just speak up!”
