How about this? Vance said. ‘Call all the male teachers to the office and let Brie take a look.”
“Right now? All the teachers are on break. Making them come back just for this seems a bit much, don’t you think?”
No! We’re finding that guy today! Vance was sure one of these teachers was dating Cassia.
Fine
Harold sighed, pulled out his phone, and told every male teacher in the staff group to come to
the office.
After a while, the principal’s office was packed with teachers.
One by one, every male teacher in the school showed up and stood in a line.
Teachers from every grade and every subject were there.
“Look, all the male teachers are here,” Harold said, letting Brie walk past them one by one.
That teacher had a very distinct look and vibe, so Brie was sure she’d recognize him.
But as she walked past the row of men, she didn’t see him.
What the hell?
“Well? Which one is it?” Vance asked, pulling her aside.
“Um… He’s not here,” Brie said, her face turning red from embarrassment.
“Not here?”
Vance was confused.
“I called every single male teacher we have. Not one is missing. Brie, are you sure the person you saw was real? Did you really meet him?” Harold asked as he walked over with his hands behind his back.

Vance and Danica were starting to doubt it, too. Harold wouldn’t lie, and the fact was the guy wasn’t here.
“I–I did meet him. He had a staff badge and was about to enter the office.” Brie felt confused herself.
He is a teacher, so why isn’t he there?
All the male teachers were present. Even the higher–up school leaders standing next to Harold were there.
A teacher driving a 20,000–dollar Volkswagen wouldn’t outrank the principal, would he?
When Shane heard Brie’s description, he suddenly understood why Draven looked so annoyed when he opened the door earlier.
He had run into Brie, and she had mistaken him for a teacher.
Mr. Grey rarely got upset. What in the world did Brie say to make him mad?
“Brie, you got it wrong,” Shane said as he stepped forward.
“The person you saw is my friend. He’s not a teacher. Since we’re on break, he just dropped by
to see me.”
Hearing Shane call him a friend–and matching that with the details Brie mentioned before- Harold’s eyes went wide. “Is it that Mr. Grey?”
After all, the only person Shane would respectfully call a friend–someone with that kind of presence—had to be that big shot.
“Yes, that one,” Shane said with a smile.
Harold froze, legs stiff.
The heir of Grey Group actually came to our school?! Oh God! He had been sitting in his office the whole time and missed his chance to meet a legend. What a shame!
“Which Mr. Grey?”
Vance was completely lost. What kind of riddle were they speaking in?
Harold laughed and said, “Mr. Wood, it’s better if you don’t ask about Mr. Grey. He’s on a whole different level than us.”

A different level? Is he just another rich guy, like that young man from before?
“But Cassia is dating him. As her father, I can’t just ignore it.”
Vance thought he sounded very responsible.
“Your daughter is dating Mr. Grey?”
